Four games in 10 days mate, they looked knackered

Lucas and Allen just doesn't work especially when we get pressed. Both are clueless on the ball.

Well that's also true but we have a huge squad that should manage it. Need some signings in January as we have 0 wingers other than Ibe.

Newcastle played well today considering how bad they have been. They plugged the holes in their defence and took their chances an efficient performance if there ever was one. Having said that Liverpool looked distinctly average.

Palace are a very good team. Losing that game annoyed me but it could have gone either way.

Against Newcastle today we were utter shiite. They are a poor team who won the midfield battle.

Hopefully Klopp has learned that it's either Lucas or Allen... but never, ever both. We lost the battle in the middle today and Lucas and Allen in tandem once again was a hideous watch. Light weight, slow with a lack of forward passing.

Jesus christ. At least if you're gonna WUM, try and make it look like it wasn't written by a 9 year old.

Bad day, poor performance but these sorts of games happen. I thought Newcastle would get something today. After 10 minutes you could tell how it would pan out. 1 goal from us at any time would've knocked the stuffing out of them but didn't get anywhere near tbh.

True, Moreno's goal should have stood but we didn't offer enough in every department.

Newcastle were poor, sadly we were poorer...

How Allen got away with wing booked I'll never know, spent the whole game constantly fouling

Starting Benteke as a lone striker was a mistake in hindsight and we missed Coutinho a lot today.

Most teams would when he is on form, even when he isn't he is a distraction to the opposition.

Thought there were a few mistakes from the manager today. That was one, playing Milner in midfield, with Lucas and Allen. If we are going to play Lucas and Allen, they need to be sitting, with somebody more attacking ahead of them, like Firmino. We could have then had Milner right, who is much better there and has a good cross, which Benteke could work from. Ibe could have played left.

Also throwing Skrtel up, leaving us open to the finishing blow, when we could have kept Benteke on and added to attack with Sturridge. He was very isolated when he came on and having to drop deep.

However that wouldn't have come into it if Benteke had finished the sitter he missed and the assistant been able to keep up with play to enable him to make the correct decision on Moreno's goal.

Newcastle did their job well and it has to be put down as they deserved to win, despite those errors.

So starting Benteke was a mistake after his sitter miss?

posted on 6/12/15

nothing to do with his miss

from open play we looked disjointed
