I played Champ man 99/00 until about 2009
Probably San Andreas because of the combination of it being totally engrossing and it having been around for ages. I think FIFA as an overall series might have rivalled GTA for a time, but I haven't played it in a couple of years and I barely ever revisited old editions like I have with PES. Feel like I've probably spent quite a long time in Skyrim, that's probably the RPG I've played the longest. Difficult to tell with genres like racing.
I played Goldeneye with my next door neighbour, cousins, friends almost every day for the duration of the N64 days too, so is probably up there.
Skyrim as mentioned above I put the most hours into for an RPG - but I doubt that would rival serious gamers, just a lot for a casual player like myself.
I cant remember the last time I finished a campaign more on a game to be honest, probably Mirrors Edge
Well for me it has to be Dark Souls. I got it pretty late as in January time this year and put about 200 hours in it and was still enjoying it. Then at March time git DS2 and although not as good as the first one imo, I put about 70 hours in that. I'm hoping Dark Souls 3 will help break the 300 hour barrier for me
Not a massive gamer so FIFA as a series, probably played 200 games on each one for about 6 years...
however i've played ff7 3 times to completion, which is about 80 hours a time...
Back when arcades were the thing I poured so much money into Scramble, me and another kid duked it out for top spot, he finally gained the crown only because someone ran off with the nob off the controller
Amiga days Kick Off was the Fifa of it's day and was probably the game I played the most, but I must mention Deluxe Paint 2, not a game but used it all the time.
PC, I played numerous games,I played a lot of Age of Empires and enjoyed Homeworld but one game that I That stands out was Warzone 2100, I wouldn't mind a modern take on that, great stuff.
PS3, Warhawk as much as I sucked at the flying I was mixing it with the best on the ground and the original Motorstorm, my mate bought a PS3 when he saw me playing it and we played both those games basically throughout last gen, but a shout out for Little Big Planet, played it a lot with the kids, but spent so much time messing about creating levels, great stuff
PS4 probably The Last Of Us, didn't play it on the PS3, so wanted to see what all the fuss was about and stands up well as a next gen title, I have played through it multiple times and has probably had the most love, although having played World of Tanks over the weekend, I can see myself spending a lot of time on that game.
I could have mentioned my Commodore 64 days but you're all too young to remember games on cassette
I played CS from beta 4 for about 10 years solid.
Nowadays there are lots of Russian servers though and it gets boring playing against them.
CS:GO doesn't feel as nice as old CS.
I played WoW for a long time too, like Simon. I quit after Cataclysm though so I have about 4 level 85 characters.
Currently put about 27 hours into Witcher 3, what a great game. Every side quest has so much detail.
Really enjoying it.
Waiting for my Fallout 4 delivery to arrive at my house, if it is as good as or better than Fallout 3 I will be happy, never played New Vegas.

Football Manager and COD most likely
Final fantasy VII - all time favourite game.
Completed it on ps one more times than I can remember, completed it also on PSP download and on the iPhone. Must have racked up far too many hours playing this game, but I love it and can't wait for the remake!!
Lord of the rings online - I got into Lord of the rings going out with an ex girlfriend and started playing this about 2 years after it came out, I had 8 out of 9 classes at max level when the murk wood expansion came out... Lost countless hours on this, game addiction... Probably ruined a few years of my life if I'm honest
Final fantasy games in general
Championship manager 97/98 and CM 02/03 I playeda hell of a lot on!
The sims I put in some hours I guess back when that first arrived, also Age of empires, command and conquer etc!
I've already put in almost 20hours on Star Wars Battlefront...
Funny thing is, I wouldn't say I'm a nerd... Potentially I think I suffer from depression as i find living in a world with so much wrong with and the sheer scale of the open galaxy as never ending and being able to not fully understand life as to what it's purpose is... I feel I need and want to get sucked into a game so it helps me forgot about the horrible thought of living in the real world...

Had to be the 1 Meg version, otherwise the goalkeepers were a bit crap. And with a Competition Pro joystick. Nothing else would do!
Kick Off 2 that is, the first one was not nearly as good.

Nice one Simon, I too owned a Amstrad. Mine came with its own Green Screen and I played endless games of Footballer of the year 2 or one of the many different games starring Roland.
Yes I'm old too.
I don't usually play games for much more than 30 hours, but I played Bloodborne for about 100 hours in 1 and a bit playthroughs which I thought was crazy.
Probably put about 80-100 hours into BioShock but that's over 4/5 playthroughs.
