Ivan, I think we needed GMS on the bench in case Forrest got injured picking his nose.
By the way, the club still got money from the draw last night. Although it was a dead rubber as far as qualifying goes, it was still important. And people don`t seem to realise that we have a young team already, which last night included Tierney and McGregor from the start.

When was the last time he played in Europe?
Deflectors on maximum!
pallaver, that's fair enough to be honest.
Johansen is an idiot who should have been sent off after 3 minutes. Ivan is exaggeration with the rest of it though.
Celtic got stuck in last night but i wouldn't call it thuggish. The ref didn't seem overworked.

I honestly thought you kicked them off the park last night.
Yet again our opponents won the ball in their own penalty box and went the full length of the field to score. Blame individual errors all you want but for me there is something badly wrong in how we are set up in these games.
We scored more goals in the group than Ajax or Fenerbahce but lost double the goals they did. It doesn't take a genius therefore to see where our troubles lie.
This is not Ross County or Dundee Utd we're playing but we just set ourselves up as if it is. And please don't tell me it's John Kennedy's fault.

I thought as much
The worst thing that's happened to Johansen is Scott Brown.
He sees the cult hero status he has from kicking people and acting like a boton on the park.

What did Diego get sent off for? I didn't see the incident.
Pulled his tadjer out and measured it against Forrest's. Unfortunately for Diego he was hung like a Chinese Mosquito.
Kicked out at Johansen in front of the ref Zico.
Irvine, how can you not talk about individual errors? The didn`t break up the park and score. They punted the ball forward and Gordon let it through his legs, it`s not as if they just cut us open.

Yeah I agree with that, the ball was going straight to Gordon and he basically Darren Fletcher'd himself.

Diego played a pass wide and then went to move towards the box. Johansen stepped across him deliberately and body-checked him. Diego kicked out and deservedly was red carded.
I think it was the straw that broke the camels back. He was targeted by Celtic players from the very early minutes, including Johansen dragging his studs on him when he was on the ground in the opening minutes.

What?!
One of the kids I coach said that they scored from a 35 yard screamer into the top corner
FFS for the second game in a row the ball was in their penalty box and 10 seconds later it was in our net. Schoolboy defending.
We should have had a pen Thought the ref was a bit of a homer but got the red spot on. Frustrating is the word i would use for this season in europe. Gordon has been poor and individual mistakes have cost us plenty points. We seem to manage to score away which is good but need to cut out the mistakes.
As said before it took lennon three goes at europe so Ronny must get another chance as this was a tough group
10 European ties without a win, and none of those against what would be regarded as top European sides. It's a desperately poor record yet everyone seems determined to give him another crack at it.
I have to agree with Ivan re our play last night. Johanssen was a thug and it was very bad to watch. He got the man sent off having kicked him all over the park during the game.
Heard WGS comments after the game and he said that this Celtic team lack the physicality of previous teams and that they had neither progressed or went back from last season. We have stood still at best so I guess having list our two best defenders (with physicality> we have done ok but no more than that
Ivan its just my standard answer to you
individual errors were costly in the groups, but we didn't learn our lessons either.
either the manager isn't learning from our mistakes or the message isn't getting across.
but on individual clangers, what can u do.
but on individual clangers, what can u do.
Don't play them
Forget Europe for a minute and look at our domestic performances. We are dire to watch more often than not. Where has the high tempo pressing game gone? The players look bereft of confidence and ideas.
I wouldn't say it's dire to watch, it's not as good as last season but it's not the worst football I've seen from a Celtic side.
