Just watched ep4. It’s such a mundane series so far with a small sample of exciting moments purely because of a love for Star Wars.

I'll be watching it tomorrow evening.

The runtime is disappointing.

A genuine question.

We are now 4 episodes in,do you think it's better or worse than Book of Boba?

I haven't watched E4, but I'd imagine at this point in both Kenobi takes it by virtue of the fact that both are kinda stupid and dull, but Kenobi had Vader cracking a kids neck so just edges it

Boba would be about to get good tho as it becomes Mando 2.5

Ye I think episode 3 and Vaders scenes alone, push Kenobi ahead of Boba.

Yeh Ob1 is definitely better than Boba - it's not been great, but at least some SW moments that put it above Boba. Bobas biggest issue was there didn't seem to be a clear idea of what they were doing - felt like something built on the first concept meeting.

But I want to know who the fook is green lightning half this stuff........I don't believe someone watched Boba and thought "Yeh that's a great SW series"

Just like I can't see how any one green lights this episode and thinks that it's a good use of 1/6 of a series, or they watch either of the Leia chases and thinks "Yeh that holds up well, and looks like SW quality"

There seems to be a break down somewhere - cos there is no way a true guardian of SW let's half of what we have seen in Boba and Ob1 through.....

Watched it tonight. No spoilers but based on comments/scores from other posters, I think I enjoyed it more than most.

That’s not to say there aren’t issues but I also found a lot to like in it.

Kenobi is much better imo. BoB had its moments but they were largely when he wasn’t in it.

Let’s put it this way, right now I want more of OB1 on screen. By the end of BoB I was hoping Cad Bane f’ed him up!

Ohh good question. Should be an easy answer.
At this point, I’d give it to Obi-Wan. But that’s cos we know how BoBF turned out.
But then they have that brilliant Ep with Luke.
So, there are similarities and that’s disappointing.
This show should be epic, yet it feels cheap.
Got 2 Eps left to save itself. These have to be 1 hour eps at least.
I can’t believe they went with a 30 min Ep this week.
It’s not bloody Eastenders ffs!!!

I did watched Kenobi again.
Yeh, it’s still fluxing between 6-6.5/10.

That’s not to say there aren’t issues but I also found a lot to like in it.

Don't get me wrong Naby - there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the episode - just imo the story hasnt moved forward, and it was a 30min filler in a 6 episode series hence for me I have given it a bad score. There should have been a second part to this episode......or we better be getting 2 amazing 1hr plusepisodes to finish. Doesn't help this is releasing at the same time as Stranger Things and most people I have spoken with have said Strangers things is better........like how is this possible? And a lot of these people are huge Star Wars fans!

I preferred Boba

Don't think anyone should be comparing OB1 to Stranger things regardless.

On production values and writing you should 100% be able to. Like how can a second rate rental company be producing better TV than Disney and Lucas combined? Disney exuctives should be to taking note as there should be 0 reason for this happening, not to mention Stranger Things are all hourish episodes over 12 episodes. Think with this latest episode OB1 is averaging less than 40mins an episode!

Yeah the episode lengths are odd and i do agree that the production quality seems pretty poor. Dunno why. Have they just not been given a great budget maybe? Not sure Disney produce great stuff these days in general.

That was better than I expected, after reading the reactions on here. Have the same gripes I've had going through basically, but thought it was better than E2 and had some callouts/references to other SW canon

The only good parts of the boba show was the mando parts otherwise it was rubbish

Just watched the episode and as usual a little thrown off by all the negativity.

Decent episode i thought, if a little short. Some interesting talking points.

I have one gripe, but more of a star wars gripe in general really, which i shall moan about when we are all caught up.

I’ve never watched stranger things so can’t comment on that but I think the story absolutely moved forward. I can’t go into why until after the embargo but it did for me.

Can’t argue with the length though. They could have taken their time with this episode and it would have been better for it. Felt a it rushed in places - again for a discussion when we can talk freely.

Deborah Chow is completely inept man.

Has no creativity at all, so many clearly obvious stupid moments that are just unexplainable.

its a filler episode, the story itself isnt that poor but the chain of events and unexplained things that happened are just childs stuff man, utter dog $hit.

this is a 6 episode season .... there should be no bloody filler !! but thats not what annoys me about this and the ongoing episode by episode MASSIVE plot holes. Does this idiot Chow not realise that many of the viewers will be older than 8 and will notice the obvious mistakes
