That whole scene in episode 3 of the town closing up afger the security come looking for Andor was excellent. The dialogue between Andor and the buyer in the warehouse was exquisite and then the flashbacks scene at the end of episode 3 was the icing on the cake.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I thought the ending was really quite powerful actually. The flashbacks to how he was rescued the first time around and how the same was happening again. The tears of a mother who knows that even if he survived, she'll never see him again. The friend who lost her boyfriend because of trigger happy guards. And all with the background score meaning not a word was spoken.

Excellent stuff imo.

Just finished it. Ooh it’s very moody.

Long Episode too... well, 45 mins. Locations are sweet.
And it amazes me how, this is so much better than Kenobi. The acting alone from everyone, that alone enhances everything.

Episode 4 develops the story really well. Seeing the locations and the politics at play are fascinating. We are 4 episodes in and it's rivalling Mando and in some areas, exceeding it. This is how you make Star Wars so much more than space battles and lightsaber fights.

Not to stir up a hornets nest, but, Mon Mothma said in Return of the Jedi that many Bothans died to steal the plans for Death Star 2.
We never knew how they got the plans for Death Star 1.

So, do you think we’ll get that story? It’s a natural sequel to Rogue One, when you think about it.

Or have Disney yet again screwed the Canon?

Who are these ‘people’, you speak of?
It has to be sold to them.
I think I just realised what feels similar about Andor.
It feels like the rebooted BattleStar Galactica.
I think that’s high praise..

And Cinci, I’ll see you in 24hrs Bungle boy! Defo staying up to watch the game!

Just messing String. Most on here had no interest in ANdor a month ago, good to see that everyone is now on board. The key is getting away from legendary characters and branching into new areas. We don't need to know what Obi Wan or Boba Fett did.

And yes, looking forward to it. It will be like 5.30 pm here which is nice. Quite like the am. football times on the west coast, 10 am on a sunday and all done by 8 pm rather than a good game stretching til 11 pm or more on the east coast.

Agreed. I was never excited for Andor and my expectations were low but I was still curious to see how episode 1 would go. Thankfully it exceeded my expectations.

Going away from the main characters is a good idea but Obi Wan didn't do badly because of that. The writing and directing simply weren't good enough.

OBI 1 is prob the poorest scripted series that I have actually sat through and didnt just turn off.

its not even comically bad, its just annoyingly badly written. I dont know what demographic they were aining for with OB1 I just cant work it out !!

So true.
We should be talking about it, like it was the event of he year. And they screwed it up royally.
And having the cheek to tell people, that they have retconned Leia and Kenobi’s relationship and we just have to deal with it.

NEVER!! She didn’t have a Damn clue who the old man was that got killed by Vader.

Does anyone have an idea about the Bothans and the stealing of the Death Star 2 plans?

Many Bothans died to get this question answered..

And well, I don’t know about you lot, but the sound of the Tie-Fighters, still gives goosebumps!!
So cool!!
