Wouldn't start Campbell on Monday!

Joel Campbell is probably the best suited to this game. His workrate exceeds Ox and Walcott, even moreso cosidering both the English lads lack match fitness.

Walcott actually did a lot of defending against Villa and I think a lot of fans underestimate his work rate.

Let's be honest, both teams teams are coming into the game in poor form. One team will either outshiiiiit the other, or one team will win it through quality. Most likely City, as they have better midfield options.

If Walcott starts (and if he is fully fit then he should) then it is not for his defensive qualities.

We should not forget that Wenger has not played Walcott and Bellerin together down the right very often at all - despite having a fair number of opportunites to.

We should also remember that Walcott is a striker now - one of two we have. For the bigger picture it is a risk to play both him and Giroud.

Joel v Ox? I would pick JC at this time.

Nice to have a few options, tbf.

Team that will start will be pretty much the team that played vs Villa. I honestly think Giroud will get the nod, form that he's in and Theo just come back.

I'd pick JC over Ox to be honest. He's got a better work rate, is in far better form and tends to keep things simpler which is a good idea given we've got no Coq to chase any city breaks.

Amazed that anyone thinks this is open to debate. Castor you're loopy Ox is nowhere near as effective as JC. Ox has the more talent yes, but JCis the better player currently, by virtue of far smarter decision making and maximising his use of the talent he has.

One thing that stands out hugely is how fluid passing has become again, since Campbell came into the side. As someone said, he keeps it simple (possibly because he knows his limitations). He also plays better with Giroud (only Theo does it better) since just like Ramsey, Wilshere and Rosicky, Campbell knows/remembers that HE has to do the running for Giroud. Noticed how Giroud doesn't get isolated much anymore? It's because Campbell is always giving him an out ball.

Taking Campbell out of the side now is crazy. He's settled, parts of the team have settled around him and we know he is a goal scorer. If we leave him in the side, he is going to start scoring as well as doing everything else he's doing. When that happens, it'll be dam near impossible to drop him. When all's said and done, JC is going to end up al la Coq last year. Played because AW had no choice, yet makes the spot his own. One of the stand out players for Arsenal so far this season and fully deserves to be picked ahead of anyone but Theo or Alexis.

Campbell is also a dam site tougher than the other options. He's a little tank, whom has benefitted from not being in the first 11 too soon. Where the others have all been there since they were boys, JC has developed and grown into a man, in the reserves (they obviously have a real physio). Whatever the reason, he looks far less likely to get injured. Maybe being kept out of the side will give Ox time to heal and man-up a little more so he can be as healthy as JC.

Joel Campbell has never been in our reserves.

Oops, my bad. He's been on loan everywhere. Either way he's been kept out of of Lewin's hands and what do you know, it appears he's not injury prone. Just like all our other players Lewin never got his hands on when they were young. What a coincidence ay?

I would play Campbell. He is working better defensively than the Ox.

I would play Theo instead of Giroud upfront for this game.

A circumstance that I noticed from the beginning on. Giroud needs the ball in front of the goal in the box to keep the defenders busy. Spot on Wenger'sBodyguard

Would be mental to drop JC for Ox. What message does that send to the younger and fringe players in the squad?

"Doesn't matter how well you play lads, I'll always plump for my favourites in the big games"

Campbell offers much more than the OX in his complete game, his effort along with his skill which is evidently there and improving every game should not be cut short at this stage. He deserves to be playing, the OX for me is bench and photograph material at the moment.

So to sum it up :complete disaster of an article yet again from Castor

Campbell's star is in the ascendant, he has the wind in his sails far more than the Ox and my money is on him to excel, and help us sail onwards.

Glad Castor isn't the manager, he would not only make daft selections but he'd also drain all positivity and motivation from the players, he'd get Barca playing like Chelsea.

With Joel Campbell you get a good balance from width. On one side Walcott makes the runs in behind and stays forward, on other Joel Campbell provides defensive support and links the play up nicely.

Ox needs to step it up because he can offer us much more.

Yes, very well. I confess I don't contribute to the boards that much as like so many boards it gets swamped by ridiculous and endless banter. I like however the Wenger in/Wenger out debate, and for the record I have always been a Wenger in.
