I wonder how SBC is gonna feel after we lose to Stoke and probably Chelsea.

I wonder how many tickets he'll sell for those 2 games.

If this is true I wonder if it's because of not wanting Jose more than feeling the LVG needed to go? Say hypothetically it was Pep who was available, would Charlton still want United to keep faith with LVG?

Again no idea if this story is even true and while I appreciate Charlton's issue with Jose which I'm sure he expressed when looking for Ferguson's replacement I do also feel he needs to maybe look at the situation realistically, don't forget he was part of the process that chose both Moyes and LVG.

Makes sense. Bobby wouldnt want to have Jose around although isnt there a board vote for this kinda thing or do they just let Bobby do what he wants?

Whether it's true or not I'm sure Charlton still holds a lot of power at United. It's important he's there too as someone who sees the club as a football club first and foremost and genuinely loves and cares what happens with our football over someone like Woodward who's primary care is the business side.

Charlton is clearly a legend and deserves the respect he gets but he's still human and prone to making mistakes.

Just give the job to the class of 92,yes all of them. They can share it.I mean they generally sound like they've got a god given right to manage United anyway.

Still banging on about that Binky. Hardly ever hear you talking about a player who put out his cigar in a youth players eye, or taking pot shots at your team mates with an air gun, or Frank Sinatra human rights record. All since Bobby's major crime. Funny that.

Giving Giggs the job would be a bigger mistake than Moyes

Can't find anything about this in De Telegraaf. Plus telegraaf is a tabloid, take it with a pinch of salt

Man Utd have yet again rejected José Mourinho after a request from Bobby Charlton to have full faith in LVG. [De Telegraaf].

To no surprise the twitter account which tweeted this has deleted the tweet.

As we were.

That's because there isn't anything.

Oh well. I could still believe that Charlton would have reservations over Jose, all depends what the rest of the board thinks though.

Charlton is right though as there is negative baggage with Mourinho,as evident with his handling of the Eva situation. It was a nothing situation which he purposefully made something out of to take the pressure away from his own inabillities.

Mourinho didnt just drag himself down into the gutter but also Chelsea football club.

I just dont want that kind of character at the club, sorry.

Bobby charlton, after reading Fergie's comments about managers they went for before moyes, this man knows what he is talking about. Mourinho is a man I always wanted to take this job. A world class manager to this day, however the man brings unwanted baggage. Fergie was a caant, but in a way you can tolerate. Mourinho on the other hand, just a downright caant.

If Sir Bobby didn't think Mourinho was right once before, I don't see what will have changed tbh, especially given what's happened on and off the field at Chelsea this season. Whether his opinion still holds much weight though we'll have to wait and see.

To me Mourinho for a number of reasons is far from ideal and even though I don't want him anywhere near this club, deep deep down I feel he might not necessarily be the right choice but one that is needed now if that makes sense.

That is though if Guardiola isn't available.

Genius

I'm not for one second condoning the way Jose reacted towards Eva and he was out of order but at the same time he had strict instructions that she went against.

Again, not saying he was right to do what he did. He isn't perfect, that's clear but he is a great manager and one that I personally rate highly and admire greatly. He's a winner and does actually play some good football when things are working, he left both Porto and Inter on a high while the other 2 clubs are none for not being the most stable with managers rarely leaving on good terms.

Is he the best manager around, you could argue either way but one thing is for sure, he's available.

I know plenty of fans hate Jose, yes he can be a total d-ck at times but for me that's part of the charm, he can play a great baddie when he wants. Just ask other fans what they think of Ferguson who could also be a c-nt at times but when he's your c-nt you don't see it the way opposing fans do and yesterday showed how much Chelsea fans love the guy.

None of us know the ins and outs of what has gone wrong at Chelsea this season and while I'm sure Jose is partly to bame I can't imagine it's all his fault, the Chelsea fans don't think he is.

I just think in the situation we are currently in there is a manager in Jose who is undeniably one of the best managers on the planet who is available. I'd personally have him over LVG and I'm not too sure what better option we would even have this summer so it's possibly a case of making the best decision that can be made over the next 6 months.

We will likely have a scenario where this could happen next year...

City - Pep
Liverpool - Klopp
Chelsea - Someone
Arsenal - Wenger
Spurs - Pochetino

We need a world class manager. Is Jose perfect? Nope. But he knows what he's doing.
