I was happy with the appointment of both Moyes and Van Gaal. I've no problem admitting that.
Most of us aren't too bothered about being proved right or wrong. We just want to see United doing well again, which will only happen under the right manager. For me, that's Jose.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And that's all i'm asking for.
I was for Moyes. I gave LVG a bit of time but like the Spurs fans who didn't want him, I could tell what was to come. And I was right. I take no joy in that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
you were not right
you supported lvg
as soon as the results got shaky last season you started an agenda because you like to cause controversy here and be a contrarian,
you being you, you wouldnt back down because you'd be wrong again. especially after your support for moyes.
and a year later lvg might be sacked despite reaching his targets last season. a whole year later.
you were in no way "right", you have never been right in any prediction you've made here ever.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay. I guess when I said we were boring and that LVG made idiotic selections last season that this season those chickens haven't come home to roost.
Okay then.
nobody on ja606 would claim mourinho plays good football whilst keeping a straight face
Heisenberg, to protect this article from 100 comments saying that LVG has done a good job (wrong) just show some humility and walk away. You've been proved wrong and you should just accept that and support Jose when he comes in.
He might just surprise you.

you said alot last season and then we went on to play great football and shut you up.
remember our tough run of games that would knock us out of top 4? you'd written us and lvg off.
we blitzed spurs, dominated liverpool at anfield, thrashed city at old trafford and dominated at stamford bridge against chelsea and we were unlucky to lose.
yes we couldnt get past the famous mourinho bus then
you were wrong then, and now at the second tough period we've had you've cranked it up in the hopes of being "right". it's ok robb, you can have this one. you "might" get it right the second time.
I certainly think having spent 250 mill we at least may have won a trophy. His football is more entertaining than lvg as well

True, I guess the desire to be back in the CL this time and how pathetic we were in it has made me forget how fun the Moyes period in the CL was, however brief. But I know a lot of people hear hate hearing any positives from that era (however few there were).

I wouldn't disagree with that but for once he's made a decent point.
Jose's infamous for dire football, and it's not banter or rivalry pokes. He's always played shiite football among the worst in the league. It's his trademark that everyone (other than a handful of Chelsea supporters and even most of them agreed) agreed on.

He CAN play dire football but my point was that he does also play great football. That 6-3 win against Everton was brilliant. Same with the 6-0 win against Arsenal.
Every manager has matches where the side is just on fire or can't get out of the mud and gets tonked.
80/20 it
Jose has been at least 80 dire. One-off matches here and there don't change that.
He does, however know how to win. And winning titles ugly > not winning them.
If you're not going to go home with a major trophy, I'd take style every day of the week and thrice on Sunday though.

mu82,
Indeed. We've seen before how teams struggling in their domestic form can find some solace and escapism in the European competitions. It felt a bit like that under Moyes.
Ironically I thought LvG's game would suit us better in the CL but the whole thing has just completely fallen apart.

Yeah it shows how unpredictable football is. People were convinced Moyes would struggle in Europe and that LVG would know it so well, the complete opposite seemed to happen.
Still not convinced by Jose coming in, seems to struggle to keep his cool when the pressures on.
To those that dont want Mourinho because of his style of play, Who is the manager available that will get us winning with attacking and entertaining football?
