No idea either, but given Brighton are no better than most in the top half it could go either way.
Good tactic. If Ipswich win it was because Brighton are poor.
Brighton even took our rejects, they can't be much good.
Be lucky to finish top six.
Yes, every player a club signs is "a reject". What a sad attitude. Players move between clubs all the time.
Yernited have had plenty of rejects go one to have decent careers elsewhere
Cinci being one of them
Mick beat Brighton, which augurs well for us. Very optimistic about the game now.

Still have no idea what you mean.
In any event, the home defeat to Mick shows that Brighton aren't invincible. I expect a draw at least.
Bute, Stale is doing very well back in Denmark, but I don't rave about him like you do about MM. He is a past manager who only had 6 months in charge, not 6 years like your hero.
From what I've been reading on here recently, our style of play isn't that different to what SS tried to do. The difference is, we now have players who are capable of passing the ball. SS had no chance with the hoofers he inherited.

Actually, joking aside, that is an astounding result, and what you need to keep in contention. Can't knock it. The plus point for us is that it shows we can do it too.

No idea about that, Wolfie. I'm only interested in our successful managers, of whom most are rightly proud. Yes, Stale was poor for 6 months, and no one follows him now as he's in another league we don't have any interest in. I hope he does well there, but he's not on my radar having been dreadful with us. I don't recall him winning the Champo with us, or giving us years in the Premiership, as Mick did. How can you compare?
The point you are trying to make, (I think) is that you are taking an interest in a past manager. Stale actually got off to a good start, but in my opinion, it was the players he inherited that let the club down, as they had no idea how to pass a ball.
I'm not sure at what point you're going to forget about MM and move on. I'm sure you've convinced all of us that you still idolize the man. But it's now almost 4 years since he was rightly sacked.
Oh and by the way, Ipswich are still in the Championship, just like us. He hasn't got them up to date, which emphasizes my point, that at best, he's a decent manager at this level. His record in the Premiership is dreadful, to say the least.
You know what is really sad?
When Mick left I felt quite sad about how things unfolded, the fact he had ultimately failed to move us forward but more the fact he didn't because it would have been great for him to have been that man.
But sadder is that his image and reputation will always be tarnished for me by the ramblings of a bizarre individual from the isle of bute, whenever I hear micks name now all I see is a rambling old man sitting in a bar in Scotland.
I think butes reasoning is that he is trying to make a few regret anything that have said or believed about Mick, which he has failed miserably at, my views on Mick have not changed since the day he left, he failed, he got the sack, that's just football, he had his chance and blew it and I would never remotely consider going backwards, especially having seen what he has created at Ipswich, that football repulses me.
So thank you bute, thank you for ruining my memories of Mick McCarthy

"it was the players he inherited that let the club down"!
Let's airbrush the wasted £10million that he spent on Doumbia, Sigurdasson, Peszko and Boukari. The only one of his signings that was worth a damn was Sako and it's you more than anyone else that denigrates him.
As for him being a good manager, he should have played to the players' strengths and if they couldn't "pass the ball" then play a different style. Instead he took us to the verges of the relegation zone and an FA cup loss to non-league Luton.
Of course such inspired leadership should be equally lauded with a manager who got us promoted from the second division as champions and kept us in the Prem.
Sorry, also forgot about "the mighty" Georg Margreitter who Solbakken also forgot about after signing him for Wolves.
Another Cinci Classic
My views of mick have not changed since the day he left, he failed he was sacked
Thank you Bute for ruining my memories of him

If I may reiterate what I said at the very start of this conversation, (in response to Wolfie)...
"I don't "continually rant" about anyone. Others usually mention the "M" word more than me. I only bring it up in context. I do try and say 6th placed club, rather than Ipsw**h, acknowledging your sensibilities, so at least give me credit for that. One day we will get the better of him. No one would love to see KJ emulate Mick more than me"
Now I had no desire for that to upset Cinci and Wolfie, or for a consternation to develop.
As for what gets posted on other forums, I don't see that that's entirely relevant. People can post their predictions, (they do it on here enough), without being termed a wum, simply because it upsets someone who resents seeing a past manager do well.
Cinci: "...especially having seen what he has created at Ipswich, that football repulses me."
November's "manager of the month", with a striker who was "player of the month". Would love for us to have been that "repulsive" in November.
