It was funny when we lost against Swansea City with Carragher saying I feel sorry for Wayne Rooney as he is not getting any service, how is he meant to score and then the highlights clips show him miss 4 one on ones with the keeper.
What about the 99 side over this side?
http://www.espnfc.co.uk/blog/espn-fc-united-blog/68/post/2781685/de-gea-godin-and-pogba-deserve-ballon-dor-spotlight
FFS the ABU media really are embarrassing We also have most of the ball and least shots against but its man utd 1 shot saved by ddg is multiplied by 10 to make the media troll LVG with.
http://www.espnfc.co.uk/player/108482/david-de-gea?season=2011
English media slate DDG in his best season, praise him on the season he makes the least amount of saves to troll LVG with. DDG was sensation in his first season but got trolled by media. Last season many games he didn't make a save. It was extremely rare DDG saving more then 2 shots. His performances at Arsenal away and Liverpool at home was main performances. Most of the games he saved 2 shots 1 shot or 0. It was very rare DDG having to save more then 2 shots in a game.
So if I'm reading this right, the entire football world is wrong, it's only you and LVG who know the truth?
Goalkeeper: David De Gea, Manchester United
The obvious choice for this award would probably be Manuel Neuer, and few could quibble if this hypothetical award were indeed given to the giant Bayern Munich stopper, such are his talents. However, it's also difficult to shake the sense that, excellent as Neuer is, he has a rather easier job than many keepers around the world.
This season so far, Bayern have had the ball for 71 percent of the time, making it rather difficult for any opposition to put any real attacks together, and indeed they have faced fewer shots than any other club in Europe's top five leagues, so it feels like the award should go to someone who has a little more to do.
David De Gea
One shudders to think where Manchester United might be without David De Gea between the sticks.
And that someone is De Gea, without whom Manchester United might have been in quite a mess (or, perhaps more accurately, more of a mess) for long spells throughout the past 12 months.
"He showed at a very young age -- he became 24 this season -- that he is able to do the job in all elements of the game," said his goalkeeping coach at Manchester United, Frans Hoek, at the end of last season. "So nothing stands in his way to become one of the best like [Peter] Schmeichel, like [Edwin] van der Sar at United." High praise, but praise that is warranted.
....................
We also have the highest possession in the league and least shots against in the league I honestly think the media are full of demented people with IQ of 0. Everything opposite is reality regarding Man Utd. So like Gary Neville saying DDG struggling to deal with corners all night against west brom away last season despite west brom having 0 corners and Man Utd having 11 and Lawro saying if it wasn't for DDG Man Utd would have lost meaning it doesn't bode well when we play Chelsea despite Myhill being MOTM by far, ended up Courtois MOTM next game
I meant to say that game DDG saved 0 shots and dealt with 0 corners yet G.Neville and Lawro invented stuff. Must have thought Myhill 5 saves and dealing with 11 corners and many crosses was DDG.
Tbh the problem is Hafi is it's perfectly acceptable for the majority of our opponents to come to old Trafford and play defensively, it's up to us to break them down.
We try to do so in a kinda risk averse manner.
It's the opposition that are playing much more defensively (well vast majority of the time at OT) it's just that we aren't playing very attackingly, well for a big team at home.
Hafi, those 'stats' mean nothing no matter how often you quote them. Without putting them into the context of a match they mean about as much as how many times DDG scratched his left buttock.
http://www.foxsports.com/soccer/stats?competition=7&season=2015&category=GOALKEEPING&pos=0&team=0&splitType=0&sort=4&sortOrder=1
DDG made 14 saves from 6 games vs Neur 14 saves from 5 games but Neur only conceded 3 goals DDG conceded 7. 2.333 saves per game for DDG vs Neur 2.8 saves per game.
http://www.barriesview.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/premier-league-2014-15-save-percentage.png
DDG single hanedly got us into the top 4 they say. Didn't even make top 10 on here. Funny in his 1st season he was the best was slated, doesn't make top 10 is praised through the rooftops. Like I said I praised DDG in his 1st season, he was like an alien/superhuman in his 1st season before he bulked up. I could say the way we play means teams need just 1 shot on target to score against us but still he wasn't sensational as media made out, had a couple of oustanding games and the media kept going on about those 2 games for rest of the season like its the norm.
https://twitter.com/optajoe/status/204580163906842624
DDG probably had the best goalkeeping season in premierleague history in 11/12 season overall considering how good he was= media say flop and rubbish keeper. Media logic is so funny though. When they analyse Man Utd games if they say we are negative, that means we are positive, If DDG is MOTM it means the opposition keeper is MOTM, if we are long ball team, that means we are a short passing team, if we play aimless balls of hoofs= we have highest pass accuracy, most reliant on GK= one of the least reliant on GK.
They keep saying til this day how he went from a flop in his first season to how good he has become last season when stats say last season was his worst, first season was his best.
It strange in his first season he wasn't great at shots going under him but now he is better but he has lost his amazing shot stopping ability from inside the box.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itpLsAwnyXA
I should clarify one on ones he was poor in his first season but strong from shots inside the box and outside the box. Now he is poor against shots outside the box and inside the box but strong on one on ones.
hafi goes overboard with stats but he is right
too many times this season teams have come to OT to park the bus, and they have had great success so they will continue. the onus is on man utd to break them down but we don't have the attacking power and quality to do that
i dont mind people calling us boring or uncreative
what i dont understand is people saying we intentionally play that way and it's LVG's fault, Complete nonsense - the players have performed poorly by missing clear chances or by wasting good attacking situations with poor final balls. however it is difficult when the opposition are not interested in attacking and just want to defend.
we have a slow attack and players like mata and fellaini (and perhaps rooney) keep slowing down the attack and don't allow us to play counter attacking football. they need to be replaced in the summer asap. the other reason is injuries to shaw and valencia means we don't have attacking fullbacks who provide pace on the flanks. a lot more was expected of depay too.
we always look to build an attack, and in the second half we make attacking substitutions or changes to formations that is clearly intended for us to get a goal
the lack of goals is down to attacking quality and not the desire to attack
In answer to the question haf.
Ask a match going fan if you are boring they would have a better idea.
I would guess yes very boring would be the reply.
This article is a.joke with the same mumbo jumbo over and over from hafi. He's got to win a prize for being so biased it's irritatingly unbelievable. On and on fooling himself making himself feel better because quite frankly utd are just boring. My utd friends say they refuse to watch utd now as its that bad. Your own fans are saying it. Time to wake up.and.smell the coffee son.
OP
Not scoring in the first half of 10 successive home games must be the most compelling evidence of United being just about the most boring side ever in football.
Sandy, you're wasting your time here mate. All hafi will do now is quote page after page of irrelevant 'statistics' to prove United are without doubt the most exciting team on the planet, it's just that nobody can see it.
United fans should all spend Saturday afternoons dredging through dodgy stat websites looking for crumbs of comfort as it's apparently more incisive than going to the game
Hafi upping his game as Arro is taking his thunder
As for people parking the bus so it not being your fault, they only do this because they know you'll do nothing with the ball in front of them other than bumble around from side to side
The thing is if we start taking our chances more often then they will stop doing it.
I guess rival fans are not supposed to find hafi endearing, but sad days when it takes liverpool/spurs fans to talk more sense than the locals.
Just give it a rest Hafi, no amount of gigo from you will convince any of us that United are anything other than dull - oh, and smaller teams will frequently park the bus against bigger teams, especially away from home, so get used to it - so why don't you unplug the hard drive and go and sit in the corner of a darkened room for 6 months until you get over this bout of tedium (referring to you as much as the football on show).
I think LVG has just confirmed utd are boring so now it really just is hafi who finds them thrilling to watch
Its boring because we don't score.
