Ding Dong Derby - WBA vs Villa

We need to stop assuming fans have any influence on who the manager is, who he buys or what tactics he employs.

Pulis plays 'percentages' all season and so far it has worked for him.

Pulis must have been referring to what you spent for your players, not what you spent in the summer.
I thought you spent £50 million in the summer on new players.
But if it's true your team cost £84 million, why is it a mean comment?

But.... we had 61% of the game, 16 shots with 4 on target to Baggies 4 shots 0 on target...
Didn't Pulis know it was a Derby? Or does he think that a 0-0 dour home draw is a good result?

Unfortunately, possession doesn't translate into superiority or goals, none of your 4 shots on target troubled Ben Foster, and yes, sometimes derby games are dour 0-0 draws, and yes, sometimes we have to be satisfied with that. And a draw suits us far better than it does Villa.
Someone mentioned definite penalty? Wasn't the ball going out, and didn't your guy just go down far too easily?

Remi seems to have got a structure and the players working to a system.

Unfortunately we lack a decent forward who can put the ball in the net.

The last few games we seem much more resilient and I have to say Lescott has been outstanding.

Will the board stump up any money, I suspect not.

As for WBA they were shocking. Pulis plays the worst brand of football the prem has ever seen and how anyone can defend him is beyond me. I have heard some Villa fans in the past say they wish we had him. If either him or Allardyce were our manager I would seriously consider not going.

A Baggies fan phoned the radio yesterday and said that that was the 4th or 5th time they had failed to muster a shot on target.

I am embarrassed we have failed to beat such an awful side in two games.

We do blow hot and cold, and the change in our football from one game to the next is inexplicable and frustrating. Had we played like we did against Newcastle, Stoke or Chelsea, we wouldn't be seeing you here for dust. As it is, we're embarrassed not to have beaten such a poor Villa side, but I suppose the next best thing is, we didn't lose.
Good luck next season.

We are 15 points ahead of Villa. Not to mention we have taken 4 points off them. Do they think we play how we did yesterday, every week

Yesterday was awful all round. 2 crààp teams and one awful game of football.

Difference is, we'll be in the PL next season. Villa won't

Villa are the worst team in the Premier League. That's official. The table, after 23 games, doesn't lie. They're not even close to safety.

We may have been by far the worst team in the PL in the first half of the season; think we've pulled away from that somewhat though. We've stopped throwing games away; give us a better goal scorer and we'd be winning more games.

Yesterday we had most of the play, and looked a decent side. The overall "drab draw" effect was dictated by Pulis's park-the-bus approach, which unfortunately worked, at least as regards Baggies keeping a clean sheet.

Yesterday's draw means WBA have the best form record of any team from the bottom half, in the last 5 games.

Pulis Out - lol

Yesterday cannot be repeated. A disagrcaeful performance similar to that away at Palace.

Must get back to the performances against Newcastle, stoke etc
And leave that dross firmly in the past

Such a missed opportunity against a woeful side who I don't think would've scored had they played all night, just a shame we didn't try and grab the game and win it

Probably our worst performance since Pulis arrived. Every Baggie fan will admit tha. And Villa still didn't beat us.

Villa fans thought they played well and had a good game. And still didn't beat us.

I think that's tells you everything you need to know about where the 2 teams are.

I must be an unlucky omen because every time I see WBA they are dross.

I suppose as a small club some WBA fans are just happy to watch hoofball on a regular basis.

Worst brand of football in prem history 😉

The worst Albion have played in about 2 years and Villa still couldn't beat us

That's why they're going down

Villa weren't particularly good. We were just woeful.

And no albion fans would not be happy with that display every week. Luckily we aren't normally that bad

If we had actually played 'hoofball' yesterday, which we didn't, it may have been a better game.

Not sure why some Villa fans are concerned about Albion. Let us worry about that. The only Albion you will have to concern yourself with from next season is Burton.

You can sing all of your 'f.ck the Albion' songs to them as well

I appreciate you're not very bright Chronic but we can stay up without winning another match this season.
