My thoughts on the fight.
First of...Conor gassed unbelievably early. Didn't anyone else notice that?
Basically he underestimate the weight class and underestimated Diaz's chin and never say die attitude. Bottom line, Conor was a train wreck waiting to happen. Stepping into the octagon with a 145 top wrestler like Chad exposed him terribly. What was he thinking would happen when stepped in there with a 170lb black belt jujitsu fighter, a fighter that has never been ko'd?
Too obvious!
Didn't like the spin kicks, thought they were very wasteful and a big part of his tiring
It was a fantastic performance by Diaz as well
Not a very good main event to be honest, and bar the tate fight a poor event over all.
Erm Mc vs Diaz was too much show boating on Mcs behalf. Diaz done very well. Overall poor fight imo. Mc looked good but as above seemed to gas very quickly.
Tate vs Holm - told you why Rousey would easily have beaten Holms in a re match, Rousey is a better less pretty tate. Holms shown to be very 1 dimensional. But well done Tate easily fight of the night.

No way guv easily 3-1 Tate going into the 5th. Holms was out of it not being able to counter strike. She got off some nice shots in the 4th but nothing too signficant. Done well on her take down defense but Tate was doing all the work and controlling the ring.
And of course huge second round for Tate.
However amazingly jealous of Holms, think many a man would have paid money to take her place

Tate was down 3 to 1 going into the 5th. She dominated HH in the 2nd and that was it. Even her corner told Tate she had to get the KO going into the 5th knowing full well she was well behind. Round 2 aside, Meisha only connected with a couple of good overhand rights and one half decent front kick and that was it. Holmes's boxing was clearly out pointing Tate throughout the contest not to mention her leg kicks.
Not too sure what you saw to convince you otherwise tbh.

We'll agree to disagree I think
As you even said Holms boxing....she only managed to use it in the 4th. A few side kicks dont win rounds. Tate 3 - 1 simples
Simon,
Yeah, the whole world agrees to disagree with you.

Guv, was this guy Simon the bloke you was talking about earlier? Sounds it...
Oh dear, someone disagrees with you and you flip out. The wonderful world of internet forums
Feel sorry for you my friend if you need "back up"
holm won the 1st, 3rd and 4th
lost the 2nd 10-8
Fair enough Digs. If im too be honest i can only say with certainty Tate won 2 and Holms 4. 1 and 3 couldnt say anyone clearly took it. 1 i certainly prefer tates work rate and ring control to Holms kicks which although landed felt were insignificant. Holms certainly got into more in 3 with good take down defence and some better control.
But i can see why you would fancy Holms
3 was definitly holms
1 could be a draw but it doesn't really happen in ufc

Just pointing out an unequivocal fact that you'll find very hard to see anyone but your good self disagreeing on.
I don't need Guv to back me up, Meisha herself wants to do it, bless her.
