Simon and RS
I had Holm winning the fight going into the 5th and so did Tate's team hence the push for the finish. I think Simon was watch Miesha's chest for most of the fight which is understandable
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is very true
Quite a few times i was thinking thats a very impressive rack for a fighter, and when compared with Holly "deadpool" Holmes I was also dreaming of being chocked by her

Yeh agree with that Guv. He seemed to be able to absorb light to medium hits without too many problems, but when really tagged his defence goes to pieces.
MIXED Martial Arts was the winner on Saturday night. Being a long term fan of this sport I'm actually quite happy that both Holly and Conors games were exposed. Top UFC fighters are proficient in all aspects of fighting and to have McGregor and a boxer getting all the publicity tarnished the sport a bit for me.
It was good to see Nate get the win hes not a top top fighter but himself and Nick have always been great to watch. His having no camp was a big factor in how sluggish he looked as Conor looked to pick him apart. It was working for Conor too until it hit the ground and Diaz exposed him. I actually think McGregor took the tap rather than the KO which was coming. McGregors weight gain too played a big part in his energy loss.
In the overall scheme of things he can chalk it off to taking a step too far and fair play to him for taking that chance. But for the sport itself its a good thing that he cant just jump up 2 weights and be dominant at a whim.
As for Meisha, womens fighting is always a bit meh to me but I was happy to see her take the belt. Very similar to the Diaz fight she exposed a big weakness in Holms game and capitalised. Fair play to her.
A decent weekend for UFC but Jones Cormier is what its all about now. So many unanswered questions will be put to bed that night and I for one cannot wait.
Good assessment messia. As you quite rightly pointed out Conor gas tank was definitely exposed due the extra weight.
Thompson vs MacDonald together Daniel vs Jones will definitely be there for 2016

He'll beat everyone at featherweight.
Dos Anjos would probably beat him but it'd be one hell of a fight at lightweight.. him and Cerone are the two that can beat McGregor at that weight.
McGregor needed this loss to ground him again.. he was believing his own hype and took too much on too quickly.

At 155 Conor has a punchers chance. Unfortunately for him, RDA will take him to the ground and play with him like a rag doll. Edger too come to think of it.
As for Aldo, if he keeps it on the feet, he'll have to be in and out of there, lighting Conors leading leg up throughout. Aldo has lost the ko power with his hands but his legs and knees are still very lethal.

Where is TikaTaka?

Probably 10 feet under

What's the problem here? I said that McGregor would lose at UFC 196 and that is what happened. My superior MMA knowledge has shone bright yet again.
look like conor will be defending his title at 200
lots of talk on GSP returning vs Diaz and Silva being on the card

I hope it goes to aldo but you have to feel bad for frankie, after he won before and was told "what frankie wants he gets" by dana then pushed to the side

The main thing that got me was how everyones calling mcgregor so humble, 3 months ago he was on top of the cage flipping off the best pound for pound fighter in the worlds training team.
Mcgregors hype has slowed and will even more next month with jon jones being back
Diaz vs McGregor rematch being talked about a lot for 200
