What a player in his prime
The big money move to Chelsea, whilst financially was his biggest move, was also the beginning of his downfall.
Be interesting to see what move he makes next in the summer.
didn't work for him at Chelsea and confidence has been down since.
ruined him.
I still have wet dreams about him & Suarez in the same Liverpool team
Stopped scoring mate. If I were him I’d be reasonably happy with scoring the winner and getting MOTM in the final at the Euros, winning a world cup, another Euros with scoring and assisting in the final from the bench, scoring the goal to put out the best team in history at the Nou Camp before going on to lift the CL that season. Then the Europa League the season after. Plus the FA cup. Just didn’t win the Premier League, but won the Segunda Division which is about the same level. Not a bad career before he died of death in 2011.
He''l end up at Lazio or a club like that. Still getting 50 odd grand a week.
Remember him and Arshavin in that 4-4 game
Imagine if Suarez was at Liverpool the same time as Blondie?
Frightening.

Aye I doubt he will have any regrets about his career
Was excellent at a very early age but had peaked by the time he was 25. The loss of pace he had after this age really effected his game and subsequently he wasn't the same player who had terrorised defences and never will be.
The move to Chelsea probably wasn't best for him from a footballing perspective but he still helped them achieve both European cups which had been their aim since Abramovich took over so still a successful move in other regards as he would never have won the CL with Liverpool.
His game relied a lot on pace which when he was young was electric and he had the confidence to go with it. Usually once the pace goes the player adjusts his style but that happened just as he was moving to chelsea. This was not the correct atmosphere to nuture him through this phase and build his confidence and so it hit him like a sledgehammer. Double wammy, pace gone, confidence shattered. Such a shame. He was a great talent.
I think him being played continually by Liverpool despite carrying injuries, then going into WC in 2010 and picking up an injury in final didn't help
he never really recovered from not having a proper pre season and the pressure of him costing the rent boys 50 millions bangers didn't help
the style of play Chelsea played was never going to suit, esp as they still had drogba up front
he is one of the most decorated footballers of all time with an almost unrivalled tophy haul
to think Mick on here said he wasn't world class

Was it no him who scored that goal against Barca which made Neville cream himself?
Similar thing happened to Michael Owen when he started picking up injuries and lost his pace.. he didn't have enough about him to make up for it.
Just to clarify, Michael Owen couldn't lace Torres' boots

He was no Wayne Biggins that's for sure.

Not sure that is entirely true.
Owen was world class, biggest mistake he ever made was signing for Newcastle (imo) the injury in 06 WC finished him
at least he finally managed to win a league though, something that not many ex Liverpool players of the modern era can say
Just the ones we sell to Barca and Real really.
i should have worded it better, was referring to English league titles.
Only Arsenal sell to league rivals really so it'll be mainly their players.

I'll think you'll find it was Liverpool who sold Sterling to ManC.
