This is a different situation to that. We're not desperate to sign a player in this window, we had to get a striker in that summer.

No, obviously not, but in terms of the general populous of football fans, and in terms of exposure in the media, Texiera was pretty much unknown, and not talked about within this countries media.
After the last couple of weeks, his profile has been raised, and this will certainly help in terms of any deal that is made to acquire him in the summer.

The very first stories linking us to him all indicated that this was an attempt to sign him for an end of season arrival. Shaktar made it clear from the outset that he woudln;t leave in january.

we wouldnt pay 20+mil and then loan him out until the summer
