As bad as you are, Chelsea have been even worse. How do you think we feel?

Disagree re hodgson. He had a decent team but his management was awful

With Hodgson it was the managers attitude as much as anything else, he had no intention of trying to maintain the old traditions. His comments on Torres really set the tone, but at least we still had the likes of Carra and Gerrard in the team.
As for the Souness team, that was very close to what we have now, the likes of Michael Thomas, John Scales, Nigel Clough ect pretty much bang average, but even then we had some hope with the emergence of Carra, Macca and Fowler who Souness was happy to bring through.
We also had Konchesky, Cole, Soto and he wanted Carlton Cole - plus the kit was rubbish.
Souness gave us Piechnik, Kostma, Paul Stewart and Julian Dîćkś.

Not really for me to say, I do think you have some poor players by Liverpool standards.
But I agree with the OP, you have a cracking manager IMO, and given time and backing will make you a force again.

There is no doubt we're well off our peak, but it's a bit harsh to judge a side missing 3 strikers and scoring goals is our huge problem.
I'm still at a loss as to how any manager could/should deal with that.
You are being harsh, your lot have a good team but like us don't have the strikers on form or in your case fit and on form to score the goals.
The club had a massive opportunity to get in another striker to score goals but did not take it. Unforgiveable in my opinion!
Hodgson may have had Gerrard, Carragher and Torres. But he also had Poulsen and Konchesky who might even be a level below the averageness of Milner.

What the fack you on about you absolute pillock? I call BS on your claim about supporting since Paisley.
John Scales was brought in by Roy Evans and Carra came through under Roy Evans as well
Bring Rodgers back. 1.5 points per game with Rodgers over 8 game period vs Klopp 16 game period 1.375 points per game. I am honestly suprised why Klopp doesn't get any negative attention in media while everywhere from bbc, sky, espn their is a massive LVG bashing.

Are ..
agree with a chitt load of what you said....
but no way is this squad like 4 years ago....ngog, jay spearing, poulsen, konchesky, that jovanovic BLANK,joe cole (decent in his day)
Still makes me shudder
Klopp has spent nothing yet Van Gaal has spunked 250m. Perhaps that's why.
agree with a lot of what is said.
harsh on hendo
nowhere near as bad as hodgsons team, this team is mostly just suffering after the final 18 months of Rodgers confused tactics.
there is a lot of potentially v good players and some potentially awesome. klopp now needs a preseason(as he said atm its just match recovery and prep in training as there is soooo many games) to get the team working the way he wnts
im pleased we didn't jump in to panic buys in jan or get f1sted for tex. I really hope klopp will take our budget and buy 2/3 top class players to fill critical positions (GK, DM and STK) and 1 or 2 back ups. this along with weiding a scythe thru the underperformers.
im just waitin for the final then the season to end
Could it be that they are just tired, that's tired spelt with a capital "F" ???
Still haven't had time to see the game, final third was a competition, apparently, to see who could imitate a headless chicken.
A bad result caused by schoolboy football errors, according to John Aldridge. Yeah, not everyone will be invited back in July to start pre-season training.
