I think most of us can be guilty of over stating a potential new signing's abilities. Just shows the enthusiasm I guess.

My approach nowadays is to play signings down. If they go badly you've saved face and if they go well then lucky us!

Still, it's a forum and thus all about opinion, which is what makes it interesting to read, and i hope you unfilter him soon as it makes for fun reading when the pair of you lock horns

All fans are guilty of mocking players, the manager or the chairman – but for some reason Don, Luka, Chronic and 99% of the board are extra sensitive about Lamela. Maybe they are ashamed at the record transfer fee – maybe some are ashamed because they claimed they had watched him week in, week out, in Italy (i.e. Don ), only to be found out to be fibbing, maybe some are in denial, I don’t know the reasons – but I couldn’t care less if they are homegrown, cheap or come with a high price tag, I don’t have any more sentiment towards them and I just say what I see – and I just see an extremely poor player in Lamela.

Well our excellent coaches opinion, for me, is more reliable than the rag reviews you read which apparently always have Lamela as our weakest player. You was even going to write an article aggregating all these poor reviews in order to establish a fact that Lamela is our weakest performer, right?

Out of interest i googled player ratings for this game and Daily Mail, Sky Sports and WhoScored (stats based rating) all have Lamela as the better performer than Chadli. So it must be fact according to your own logic?

The Lamela obsession has now reached epic proportions. You have now shown not only that you will single out Lamela regardless of how he plays, but also that you're happy to ignore your own sources when it suits, just in order to win an argument
