According to the Sun you mean.

If we were interested in your manager, he would leave your club even quicker than he left Southampton to join Utd.

Levy cannot stop him from resigning as your manager. So I would not get all excited

What an arrogant, elitist view. I think you are getting confused with your Uniteds. This isn't the perrenial title challenger of yore. This is more akin to the Liverpool of the early 90s.

If we were talking about a chequebook coach here, I'd probably agree with you. Poch is the antithesis of this though. His philosophy is promoting young players from within.

So why would he leave a team fighting for the title, with a young side he has moulded over 18mths that is the youngest in the division and will surely only improve, that is totally geared up for developing players from within, and has several more youngsters waiting to get the squad?

For United. The club whose youth coaches are part time, and whose owners are looking to make financial cuts to the youth system. Who have already been turned down by Spurs' head of youth?

No one has our money. It is not just about money, it is about managing the biggest and most successful club in the country.

You would have to question the ambition of a manager who would not jump at the chance.

Spurs are not even the biggest club in London

There is nothing arrogant or elitist about it. Spurs are a decentish club in London, Utd are a global superpower with resources and a fanbase unrivalled.

Like I said, if a manager was not tempted, you would have to question his ambition

Levy had better not sell a player then or Poch will be right off like a whores draws.

United should bid £100m for Kane and Ali and get your two best players and manager in 1 swoop.

Roll it back 25yrs and this could be Liverpool fans speaking.

I actually liked United. Gave me some great moments over the last 20 or so, especially when upsetting Arsenal. Good, exciting football .

Empires fall though. Nobody expects them to, but they do. United have been scrabbling about for the Top Four Trophy for three seasons now.

Losing a legend like SAF and making a couple of poor managerial choices will do that. Unlike Liverpool however, we have the resources to get through it.

Get the next Manager right and we'll be right back in the mix don't you worry.

You have it ar$e about face chum. Ambition ? That's building a team, developing youth and moulding the players NOT going to some soulless club with an open chequebook and no planning

It is competely different to Liverpool simply because we have such a significant advantage financially and more global appeal.

I'm quite fond of Spurs, just stating the facts

Utd haven't been title challengers for the last 3 seasons (including this one), just competing for a top 4 finish. It's far more likely Jose will be your boss next season, Poch is happy where he is now, building a squad who are not far off challenging for the title this season, the same could happen next season, why would he want to leave us? (looks like newspapers are claiming talks have been held!) The future looks promising for Spurs with the new stadium opening before the start of 18/19 season.

Yeah, we have no youth, no planning and no soul

But have had academy players in our team for decades who have won things unlike you.

Not really sure why you are trying to compare Spurs and Utd.

Our evil empire will buy your players again and be back at the top. If I were you I would treasure this season so far, when was the last time you challenged for the league title?

No, they are not good enough. One swallow does not make a summer. We told the Blackburn rovers fans this but they did not listen

Man Utd are now scrabbling around in the financial shadows of City and Chelsea. Their money is no better than anyone else's. Some of their fans on here are so arrogant they think they can just wave their chequebook and everyone comes running. 10 years ago probably, 5 years ago possibly, now ....NO
Where is Pep going next season ? Choice between two Manc clubs, he went to city. Reason, maybe money, more likelyhood of winning trophies. Same argument you lot usually trot out

Isn't the "significant advantage financially" declining after this happened?

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/manchester-united-take-radical-steps-to-close-youth-academy-gap-as-manchester-citys-200m-investment-a6776256.html

Manchester United are undertaking a radical overhaul of their academy as they seek to wrest back ascendancy over Manchester City in the fight to sign up the best talent, with the assistant manager, Ryan Giggs, already playing an active part in attracting young players.

City’s construction of their £200m state-of-the-art football academy has let them ease ahead of United as the club of choice for Manchester parents – a status which had previously allowed the Old Trafford club to develop the fabled “Class of ’92”. But both Giggs and Nicky Butt are now sitting down with prospective signings and their parents, as part of a drive to make United more attractive, returning to a similar strategy to when club legend Brian Kidd was the recruiting officer for Sir Alex Ferguson in the early years of his tenure as manager.
