It's not the same though, is it? We're in different places as clubs, with different needs and requirements. Nigel Pearson fitted our requirements superbly during his time and I believe he'd do an excellent job for you as well. From the outside it looks like you're so close to going up, and earlier in the season I was convinced you would alongside Middlesbrough. What I'm saying is that you'd be foolish to dismiss Pearson if you had the opportunity because he can deliver what you desire.

McClaren signed Shackell
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nigel Clough signed Shackell the first time and we aren't sure who signed him this time but PC was the head coach at the time.
Steve signed Albert Tossa and Shotton to play in the centre half position, both useless.
Nigel signed some good players and the odd bad one.
Totally agree Dungeon. If we want someone to get us out of the division we are in (upwards!) and keep us in the one above AND help build a side for the future then surely it makes sense to get someone with recent experience of doing it.
If he was as dangerous as some are making out he wouldn't be walking the streets let alone managing a football club
Psycho Pearson nah he a Nottingham lad for a start but he did play for Heanor Town so i'll lerr him off, come to think of it so did Clough Junior neither of which are what is needed at DCFC, Mel must get it right this time and go with someone proven and not gamble on a rookie.
It did take Pearson a while though which is why I reckon there maybe better options out there.

That's because he had to undo a culture that Sven had set up. You have better players than he started with and had to offload.
He got us out of League 1 at the first time of asking.
He wouldn't be a bad call, you would just have to expect the unexpected. He wouldn't be my first choice but up there near it. The right character to get us in the prem but maybe not to succeed there as per Leicester. Good luck with the title by the way, be great to break the monopoly and would be pleased for Ranieri
Appreciate, Wicklow. And that's another good point: Remember that most of our team right now were signed under Nigel Pearson...
Well our owner is currently taking about a Derby way despite buying £25 million worth of players that don't play that way, so there is a fair bit of undoing needed, not sure NP playing style would be the Derby way either though.
Happy to convert to the Leicester way if need be!
They were the slickest team in the Championship when he took them up, I expected them not to struggle so badly as they did for their first season, but he turned the ship so credit where it is due
A geezer has just been in the alvaston bookmakers and bet £1000 on Nigel Pearson being next Derby Manager
Was he bald with heavy rimmed glasses?
Vc I haven't got a clue just got told about it tonight from a friend who was in there......
I was hinting that it might be MM!
