Sizzle
I think those stats give compelling evidence that the Results do not suffer any more or less than normal whether Spurs play Europa or not.
Chronic will not be a happy bunny.

Sizzle, you and I know it, but bit hard to get it through to some posters on the board, Spurs have only had one set back after Europa this season, and that was the freak home defeat by Newcastle, a game that should have been put to be by half time. They have played Arsenal and Chelsea after Europa and have not lost either.
This season Spurs have had two losses with no Europa, and just the one loss with Europa. Not sure how Chronic is going to explain that one away.
Sizzle, me and you are having a one to one this morning, the other lazy bastuuuards cannot get their fat backsides out of their beds.

Thailand, escaping the winter.
Live in Norwich but the cold makes my arthritis bad (not that its debilitating, merely annoying), don't get that here.
Weather boringly predictable though we've had some cold snaps where it got down to around TEN one evening
I would have been interested to see the stats for just away games in Europe. I don't believe it is the games themselves that knacker players out, but the travelling (especially to furthest Eastern Europe). Despite the draw with Chelsea we were dead on our feet for the second half as well.
Also that season where we won every single game after Europa was the season when redknapp played the kids in all the Europa league games. We didn't make it out the group but had a great league season until the collapse at the end.
It's an interesting article, but they could have taken it further. Ignore the anomaly of the all win season and look at away games only, and I think we'd see we definitely get European hangovers.
Should be interesting next year then if Spurs get CL. Lot tougher matches in all probability, and they will have to play the first XI home and away. Chronic will be advocating playing the boys in the away games.

I think we should try and win every damn game.
Being in all comps will keep the entire squad happy with everyone getting minutes.
We just need to be clever with the squad .
Certain players will need a rest in some games like Dier , Kane dembele and Alderweireld

People (like me) think there's a big danger of falling between 2 (or even 3) stools. Mind you, if I was falling over and there were 2 stools down there, I'd try to fall between them

Nice one Weare. Hopefully Leicester with lack of game time will be sluggish when their programme resumes.

I'm so glad this myth has been busted
"I would have been interested to see the stats for just away games in Europe. I don't believe it is the games themselves that knacker players out, but the travelling (especially to furthest Eastern Europe)."
Someone (else) with a basic understanding of stats.
Dimensioning by home/away, away + round-trip travel time etc would of course be more definitive.
I agree it is a myth.
If we have a poor result following a EL tie, excuses will be made - but we've had poor results when we've had no midweek game and a whole week rest.
The other problem is what is a "poor result"?
If we lost against the league leaders after a European trip, that doesn't say a lot.
Lose against relegation certainties and that's a poor result.
I found the BBC's article very disappointing. It's far from definitive.
