I'm guessing from your name that you aren't very well educated?
Lagavulin is my favourite overall (both peaty and not)
I like Ardbeg too
Talisker is OK but what's the point when you can have Lagavulin instead

Just a bachelor degree nothing worth boasting about
Kaiser I bought an old Poit Dhubh from a whisky forum salty and smokey and God I wish I could find another!
Sainsbury are doing Teachers for £13 and if you get a good bottle its a bargain
that's a steal
It's not brilliant, but I'm no longer the whisky snob I used to be. Reality is if you've already had a couple, they're all quite good.
Kaiser what's your favourite Irish

So Butler, how are you getting all these complex flavours when you're diluting your drinks with so much water?
Why don't you tell us which website you use to copy and paste your notes from?
Being a full blooded Jock, I only drink Irish. Bushmills, Blackbush, Jameson's, Paddys, for the same reason.
They are all as peaty as hell.
Nothing beats an Irish whisky, same as nothing, especially Jockenese versions, can beat an English beer.

Bushmills isn't Irish. The clue is in the name with it being named after the place it is made, Bushmills, Northern Ireland. If you search Google you'll see in the first result.
2 Distillery Rd Bushmills, County Antrim, United Kingdom, BT57 8XH.
Another Butler bluff exposed
Most drinks made in the UK and Ireland (Guinness aside) aren't great in my opinion.
Best drinks in the world are German and Austrian beers - that you can't beat!

Whiskey's from the UK and Ireland cannot be beaten. Beer isn't close to those in Germany and other parts of the world. Although like you say, apart from Guinness which I love, but outside of Ireland(where it's best) and Northern Ireland(next best) it tastes nowhere near as good from the pump. UK can't obviously come close to wines from other countries either. My favourite wine is from Georgia, where people make their own. I'm in Georgia at the moment and I'm reminded each time how good it is. Each region has its own type of wine due to the huge variety of grapes they produce.
Oh and from the leftover alcohol from the grapes in the barrel in the ground, they make vodka called Chacha, it blows your socks off.
They also believe that it cures all sorts. Sore stomach, headache, muscle pain. I'm surprised they haven't told me that it cures cancer.
