I think it has to be Lamela, Dembele & Dier.
Difficult to separate the last two, so they are both winners in my opinion!
My three candidates: Eric Dier, Ben Davies & Erik Lamela
The one I'd go for would have to be Dier though. Such an unbelievable transformation from a young, talented but error-prone centre back to the dominating midfield general we see right now. I think he's also shown great leadership qualities, in a similar vein to Roy Keane, leading by example and not afraid to order the team around from midfield. I think we take his role for granted but he performs it so well.
i personally would go for Dembele

Forgot Dembele but perhaps that's because I remember how good he was first season. This season has been a continuation of the player we expected to see in his second season, just a little delayed due to the persistent hip problem he'd suffered with.
I'm sticking with Dier
Dembele in terms of application, then probably Dier and Lamela

This
1. Dembele
2. Lamela
3. Dier
pretty straightforward, special mention to Ben Davies who has looked a better LB in his second season

Dier
Davies
Carroll

Carroll is a decent shout tbf
carroll hasn't played enough either last season or this season to see any clear sustained improvement in his game, imo.

bentaleb has definitely regressed the most.
probably followed by walker, or maybe kane if I was being very harsh
Trippier has gone under the radar a bit, quality signing
Dembele, Dier and Lamela
Dembele wasn't very good for a long period which was worrying because we knew he was good but the performances didn't follow.
Dier because he went from utility guy at the back to midfield immovable object
Lamela because he seized his final chance with both hands, under big pressure, to come out trumps and play a huge role so far.
Carroll is such an underrated player, along with Walker. Has slotted in really well, scored a couple goals and has helped kill of the game in some big matches, includin City away.
So much hate for walker when he makes one mistake, the type of rubbish I was reading about him after Palace and then people syaing how well he played yday.
Also, whenever its he played well its always: "altho he always has a fack up in him he did well today"
But in his bad games its "he is so facking trash!!!". where is the "although he is usually a very reliable and useful player, today he was poor"???
I don't think there can be any arguments with the Dier / Dembele / Lamela shout.
Probably Dier as a winner because he has become so important to every game...
...but then do you remember just how bad Lamela was in that first season?! He's been brilliant this year (though he certainly still has some faults)
Carroll is such an underrated player, along with Walker.
--------------------
Couldn't disagree more, Walker is overrated by some fans and rightly concerns fans with his brainfaarts and Carroll will forever be average and too lightweight
