I'm glad some others are noticing Walker's form this season
I remember he was outstanding at OT opening day and then he put it in his own net bout sums him up really
Most improved player?
Vardy.
I have no problem with Lamela being the most improved player in Europa League games but bar 2 games (ironically enough both being against Man City), I genuinely think he has been our worst performer in the Premiership by an absolute mile. He was the worst player again yesterday too.
I don’t want this to turn into a slanging match or anything like that - this is simply just one opinion of many on this article - so don’t go off on one.
Doesn't Lamela have like 7 goals in the Europa this season? I agree chicken he is far better in that competition

Disagree with this. Not to go off on one, but because I disagree.
If picking worst players (which isn't easy given everyone has played a part) you'd put Son, Chadli until a couple of weeks back, N'Jie at least behind Lamela.
He's created chances, missed a few chances but makes good runs and gets in good positions, works hard, puts in tackles, never hides away or shys away from the ball and tries to make things happen.
You could apply the exact same paragraph above to Kane. Put Kane's penalties on Lamela and would you label Kane our worst performer this year?
Is hard to be too critical of any players this year given the level we're playing at.
With Lamela there has been a gradual improvement each season, with this season the most improvement. But he still shows the odd old clumsy Lamela moments at times, and I do think there's a lot of room for improvement still.
I'm going to say one of the two who I think should be seen as the player of the season; Eric Dier. He's been a consistent rock for us and a key player.

====================
Disagreeing is good – this is what forums are about. The comment about “not going off on one” was to hopefully stop an onslaught of abuse – which hasn’t happened so it’s all good...
I would still say ratio wise, “games played” Vs “ratings for each game”, Son is ahead of Lamela, Chadli too. N’Jie is a difficult one because he hasn’t had much playing time at all in the Prem, although his contribution in the home game against City was also good to see.
I agree with your Kane comments in context – not necessarily what it would do for Lamela if he took the pens, but that I think the pens have papered a little bit over the cracks for Kane. I don’t know whether it is tiredness – that is a different debate entirely – but I don’t think he has matched his performance levels of last season.

chicken.
Vertonghen, Dembele and Lamela.
Most improved of the 3 would be Dembele as he's done it 'on his own' as opposed to Vertonghen who's had Alderweireld to aid his improvement.

It's Eric Dier isn't it? Not even close for me.
Not only vastly improved on last season, but in a new position, and has kept Bentaleb warming the bench.

Rose was the worst player against Swansea, his winning goal papered over the cracks. He was also our worst player against Palace in the FAC if you ask me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I do think this is harsh. Yes his positioning could've been better for the goal but going forward he was immense, whilst overall not being terrible at the back.
I'm not Davies' biggest fan in our system, but he has won me over of late.
His attacking play has come on leaps and bounds over the last few months. Always liked him as a player, but thought he was Ill suited.
Lamela has improved too, but was working off a low base. His Europa performances alone put him in the contender list
Danny Rose for his drive and aggresion. Always trying to make things happen, always showing for the ball. Never shirks a challenge. The final ball isn't great, but he stands up for us consistently. Took it to City the other week.

No chance he was our worst player. Not only had a great ding dong with Palace's biggest threat, but was driving us forward too.
Imo there are several players that imo should be mentioned.
Davies
Dembele
Lamela
Vera's
Form
Dier
One player whom has been solid in every game is Davies very underrated player.

Don't know how you can say this with such confidence HRH. Dier had been playing in a different position and none of us knew what to expect with him there. He has improved I guess but is young and will hopefully continue to get even better. Dembele is easily our most improved player, he has had off seasons for us not really impressing consistently, not being able to get in the team and never scored goals. This season he is first name on the team sheet when fit, adding goals to his game, showing the ability we hoped was in there and is basically man of the match every game he had played for us this season.

The fact it is a new position and nobody knew what to expect is exactly the reason he is top of my list. V me in after a so so season at RB and CB, and absolutely nailed his spot. More important than any other player barring Toby in my opinion.
Dembele may have improved on last season, but it's in the position he has always played, and at a level we knew he was capable of - he is not much better now than he was for Fulham, or his early days with us. He hasn't improved as such, just got his mojo back.
Dier has not only upped his game, but taken it to a level he's not been at before.
Or maybe we were just playing Dier in the wrong position? Couldn't be helped though last season with our centre back options.
Dembele has never played this well and I don't think anyone expected him to have the effect he is having this year, both arguably improved as much as each other but we hadn't seen as much of Dier to see if it is an improvement as such as he could have done this well last season if he was deployed the same.
Could make a case for either but saying that Dier is obvious choice shows complete ignorance imo.
