Imo the decision to not go is already made. Asking for a written request (& it's refusal) gives them a bigger scope to say we won't come.
Don't forget this is the same bcci that backtracked / lied on written deals in the UAE.... Relations are at an all time low and now these threats....
Does someone want to copy and paste what grey box is saying with regards to the actual issue rather than talking nonsense on things that are completely irrelevant to the actual cricket / or arrangements around this tournament???
Well, he says he's giving up here, so we'll see.
It's all a fuss over nothing much really. No-one wants to be seen to be backing down.
Ha ha Af, I can't remember seeing much wrong with your comment and it's been removed. Those admins are even harsher than me!!!!
I'm getting used to comments being deleted... We all know who's running to the admins. Fact is they are all cricket related and someone is offended by those xrixket related comments for obvious reasons
Always nice to have opinions lol

Think pak are spot on asking for written assurance with what's happening in the ground. Time ICC pulled their finger out too, it's for them to sort out... We know bcci written confirmation means nothing - as worthless as toilet paper..... But bcci and ICC know that they'll lose half of the tournament revenue if Paks don't budge.... Time for ICC to show what they are made of run the game of cricket.......
U2,
If you don't want me commenting on this please can someone create another pak India article because I get the feeling it will escalate
Update -India minister threatens legal action if pakistan pull out .... what legal action was taken against Aus upon skipping U19WC in Bangladesh??? Also, it's an ICC tournament, nothing to do with India minister surely??? Time he sat down and did his day job me thinks
Keep commenting Af, otherwise there will be no-one left <lol>
Think it's over now anyway.... Pakistan due to play out later this evening after assurances from bcci and ICC..... Pakistan over playing their hand here. They extracted their strategy and have embarrassed BCCI and should move on....
Also, apparently because of security threat pak have to arrive in India early morning - 3.20am and have to fly via Dubai.... Gotta love it
^^^ reported by Indian news channel. Nothing from pak side yet
It's getting messy. BCCI secretary general "Pakistan should be worried about their weak performance in Asia Cup instead of politics"
Yeah, ok. But can you guarantee security??? muppet. Talk about avoiding the issue
BCCI secretary "In our world spoken word is enough. We're hosting major tournament so obviously also taken on security responsibility"
.....says secretary of the BCCI after refusing to honor written bilateral commitment/MoU with Pcb.. All of a sudden teams should take their "words" for it... Is this guy for real???
I think a nod and a wink are good enough.

If I were Pakistan, I'd make a move now and get travelling. They've given the assurances they've asked for, so not sure what's holding them back now...
Rain has knocked the Dutch out of the World Cup
Something the English couldn't do in 2014.
Absolute joke having fought to get there to play just one match!
Associates having to qualify after qualifying. One already out after playing one game. This WT20 is going well isn't it..... Time ICC stopped treating these associate teams like sht....
At least this time we can blame the ICC and not the hosting country.
U2,
As you know, I don't get personal with any country / board / individual and always comment with objectivity. This is purely an ICC issue.
But aren't the ICC basically run by the big 3 these days?
The associates imply don't bring in the revenue and that's what it is all about these days.
Yeah, massive conflict... The way the ICC staff are driving the associates on and the way the ICC board is stopping them is ridiculous. They deserve better
Still raining. Could Ireland get knocked out after playing just one game too?
At last, some cricket even if it's only a 12 over thrash
good to see the turncoat rankin back and getting clubbed for sixteen from his first over
That's it. The rain return and game abandoned. Bye bye Ireland.
