I can understand why the icc are reluctant to give Ireland a test status.. Would be cannon fodder..
How will anyone else become good enough to attain test status? Maybe we don't need any other teams at that level and they can stick to ODIs and T20s.
Today sums up associate treatement by icc. treated as third-class no matter what they do on the pitch....... Netherlands beat England by 45 runs in 2014, lose to Bangladesh by 8 runs in 2016 and now get no t20s against test teams until 2020. Something not right about that
I didn't realise that they were getting shafted so badly. 4 years with no T20s against test playing teams.
We need to look no further than the big 3 who are only concerned about their own financial interests.
Pak may give them a lifeline by inviting them, like they did Zim, to play some matches in Pakistan.
Someone will definitely take the risk be it Ireland, Scotland, Netherlands or Oman.
England's bowlers receiving a pasting so far. New Zealand 68-1 after six overs.... Warm up game obviously
NZ getting battered now Af
Yeah just seen it. Great comeback that from the English spinners...
Zim are finished. Can Afghanistan scalp a test country???
Really poor from Zimbabwe... Hope afghan can cause an upset or two
If they cause two upsets, they'll be in the semis!
Who is in their group?
Now NZ favourites to win after a couple of dots and wickets. Topsy turvy game.
Eng Windies Lanka and Saffers
There are 35 games in this tournament, 12 of them to weed out the 'qualifiers'. With four groups, QFs, SFs and final, you'd have 31.

really is daft. why can't you just have 16 teams with one minnow in each group?
So they might get a pasting or two, but how will they ever get better if they don't get the chance?
Inzi will hopefully be our next coach. Done well with Afghans.

These fekkkers are wumming
They're hardly going to say they hate it there otherwise they'd get more threats against their wellbeing.
I reckon a bit of sensible straight bat and a bit of wumming.
Know the similarity between Evertonians and Pakistanis. Both bitter
Ehh, how is Afridi and Malik saying they like being in India bitterness? Note the similarity between Indians and Liverpool fans - deluded and arrogant.
Rain? Again? Looks like this qualifying round is going to end with a whimper not a bang..... Gotta feel for the associates, treated like shttt by the ICC then put most of their games in place in an Indian region where rain at this time of the year is common... What a farce.
Terrible advert for the game and the blame lies with the host for picking these venues.
Can't blame the ICC for the venues.
Yeah, maybe you guys are right, also responsibility of the hosting board. But didn't want to say that due to the ultra sensitive bite from some posters on here when the bcci are mentioned
ICC are a waste of time anyway since they are run by the big 3. Hearing that those politicians are threatening to dig up this pitch for the Pakistan match. They should be locked up.
Yeah the threats posed by these particular Indian extremist doesn't seem to be disappearing anytime soon... Just have to hope for the best I suppose.
