It is disgusting.
When I read some of the disrespectful and ungrateful posts from some Chelsea fans on here, not just about Jose, but in some cases about our captain too it honestly almost makes me puke in my mouth.
Unfortunately, there is no substitution for winning and winning and winning and...................
Brummie,
He took us to the next level in 04/05 and started us on this journey. What he did with this shambolic team last year, taking them to 2 trophies looking at how we are now is actually incredible.
We are shocking mentally and this is what's part of what is wrong, Hiddinks come in and steadied the ship... You don't win the league/cup but steadying a ship... We didn't look like scoring at all today and could probably be playing now and still be losing 2-0!
Yes you can't win everytime, but we want to challenge... This team couldn't break down Aston Villa at this rate

Have to agree with the sentiment of this. People can accuse Jose of making some bad calls this season, it's hard to dispute that to be honest. But the way some fans (a very significant number) have blatantly turned on him is ridiculous. For once I agree with rival supporters who accuse us of being hollow when I hear some of the stuff levelled at Mourinho this season.
Whoever throws criticism at him for today's defeat because of Lukaku's sale is grasping for straws. I personally wasn't in favour of it at the time, I didn't really rate Costa and saw Lukaku as the sort of individual I wanted to represent my club - a quality player with a down to earth, driven personality who was a boyhood Chelsea fan. But that decision pretty much won us the league last year, so he was right, end of discussion.
And this is something Mourinho haters won't want to hear, but that defeat today in combination with the CL exit means the decision to sack him when we did has been proven wrong. Nothing against Hiddink, the task ahead of him was near impossible, but we're going to end the season with the same outcome we would've done had Mourinho stayed just slightly higher up the table. So it's officially been found out as a poor short term call, now it's up to Conte to prove whether it was the right long term one
jose was the right fit at the time he took over the club.
He had the core of the team already there purchased by the previous manager.
He had 2 great years without a champions league medal despite the endless finance he was handed.
He did not even achieve a major double at your club.
His 3rd year back then was not so great.
In fact it was quite similar to his final season at your great club.
He is a winner but I did not like the football your club played to achieve that success.
You only have to look at Barcelona, Bayern, Juventus and PSG to see you can win with style.
Chelsea played like the old Bolton and Stoke 10 years ago. Your club just used world class players to play that system.
Drogba was no messi or ronaldo. He was not very pleasing to the eyes but he got the the job done.
That was a typical jose player. Not my cup of tea.
Sorry, I thought Drogba was very pleasing on the eye!
As you say he wasn't your cup of tea though, so fair enough!
What a sharticle! I hate it when people blow the "true fans" trumpet. They are idiots who are afraid to question the authorities. Jose brought us short term successess but left us in a mess. We could suffer for a few years due to his lack of vision.
Oh and I think Roman's investment took us to the next level. If Jose didn't exist he could have hired an equally talented manager. .
Hello respected every game goer,
Jose didn't do anything for free. Last time he gave us a winning mentality and yes an edge over other teams but he left us in a mess back then. Took his compensation and sod off..the money you and me together will not make in our life time.
This time around, he built a team which won the league and again left us in a limbo. Well he got paid again to do and to leave his job and his wages are no packet of crisps so stop worshipping Jose.
Now what he has done wrong, apart from buying and selling the players he has left this club in a destructive mode. The fall this season for me peraonally has wiped all his good work done in 5 years he spent with us. Reminds me us under Hollins.
We are 5th(not sure) in the form table since Guus took over so we lost CL place totally due to him which will have long term implications like all good players will leave and no good players will like to come with no CL.
If it was not Jose and let say Rafa then there would have been bounty for him already.
Costa done, Hazard done, Matic done, then we have world's best no.10 in Oscar who is just waste of Oxygen. We dont have a proper LB where we had England's best LB in Bertrand ..SOLD, then Luis, Brazil no 1LB..SOLD.
Let's not even talk about the players you mentioned because after selling them he won us the league. But the replacements were Eto then Remy then Falcao
Salah then Quadrado then Pedro
Fabregas
Mate we dont have the divine right to win trophies every year but since Roman took over we qualified for CL every season. Look at this season nobody wants 4th position because there are some unexpected teams there thanks to our slump, its not like they outshone us.
And this year when the league could have been a cake walk he fooked up royally even before the season started.
Also Guus can do one as well now..lost his mojo. All managers are same and football is still dire under him and ofcourse we won fook all
JA P, man leave Guss out of it, it makes your argument sound like pants!
Ronny, , the team we are today is an insult to all those who have played in previous sides assembled in Abramovich era tbh.
Ah well...it's clear we are divided on wha the problem is..and who we should blame. The Chelsea team next year will be radically different to the one we have now. Just think we can all relax...no more stress...we just sit back and enjoy the fireworks at the top of the league when the two sets of bottlers finally realise they aren't going to win it...☺️☺️

Bertrand is very average, for one thing. If you're going to criticise Jose, fair enough but your rant would not have been affected one iota than him remaining a Chelsea player, think about that. "Costa done, Hazard done" really? Jose lost the dressing room and wasn't getting the best out of them. Since he's gone, Costa has been the best striker in the league, not just in terms of performance level but statistically so too. But yeah, he's done. Hazard has been rubbish, but he's a guy whose attitude sucks and wants out of England, regardless of manager. We (United) had the same unacceptable situation with Di Maria. Completely unprofessional from the player and he just wants out, regardless of the manager.
And who on God's green Earth ever thought Oscar was the best number 10 in the world?!
I do agree that his replacements and signings have been poor though. Then again, Jose was pretty outspoken in saying the club weren't signing the guys he wanted
Jose has been as much a feckin disgrace as he has an utter legend...
it seems that some of our players have taken on the same ethos
A thorough clean up is required we need to be hitting the ground running come August with a manager and a team that are 'as one'
This season will go down as a disaster...and rightly so...absolute disgrace
"Then again, Jose was pretty outspoken in saying the club weren't signing the guys he wanted"
which was basically the start of his pissy-rant this term, leading directly to the Eva fiasco
I'm sorry, but when did questioning your clubs decisions make someone a disgrace. You can support your country but be against the Iraq war. People are allowed to criticise and have opinions of their own, and shouldn't blindly follow authority.
I understand that there is a cult symbol for Mourinho with many supporters, but its important to objectively assess how much blame should Mourinho take for where the current team is.
My opinion is that he should take quite a lot of the blame for the construction of this team, as should the board too. There is no getting away from the fact, little forward planning was done over the past 2 years. We wouldn't have the squad we have now, if it wasn't for bad planning. As in my opinion, a team is only as good as the manager and backroom staff around it. Currently our team is dire, which points to the fact that something behind the scenes at the club was very wrong.
The blame for where we are today is the result of many factors, some of which we probably have no knowledge of as yet and may never so Jose is not solely to blame but neither is he blameless.
Lack of signings in the summer does not excuse him, for all the signings made and money spent, all of our direct rivals from last year have fallen away from tagged levels of recent years and as current champions we only needed to maintain last season form to do better than we have.
Jose has left us in a mess just as he did previously and really can it be considered blameless. That does not detract from what he has achieved in the past, it is simply a fact.
My opinion is that he should take quite a lot of the blame for the construction of this team, as should the board too.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Spot on. I don't believe any one individual is responsible for the current mess, from the board down to the players, no one comes out of this mess smelling of roses!
