You're so neutral we could rename you 'Battery Acid'.

Does that joke really work? You need to explain it to me!

Is battery acid neutral?

posted on 2/9/11

No, it's right at the far end of the pH scale.

Nope! I am useless with anything like this...does it have anything to do with Jordan Henderson?

I'am sure we've been through all this before with Chelsea??????

Probably, Newton.

As I see it, the general concensus is that City have a better team on paper. But wasn't it Shankly who pointed out that football isn't played on paper? Sounds like the sort of thing he'd have said anyway...

The truth is, according to the laws of paper football, we had a better squad for the CS than United. On grass, they outplayed us for 90 minutes. And yet, despite looking in complete disarray for all but 20 minutes, we still went in 2-0 up at half time and United had to wait until the dying minutes to eventually snatch the winner.

All this proves is that football is a funny old game. And I'm pretty sure that I'm quoting Jimmy Greaves there.

As for who's better? We'll find out in May. Until then, we'll just all support our own teams and cross our fingers.

At last someone has hit the nail on the head, I wish you could
of come on here last night and been the 1st to reply then to
the Op then we wouldn't have had 4 pages.

Yeah, good idea...let's wait till May!

E-Mail the Admins and tell them to shut the site down, until May that is!!!

I doubt it would've made any difference, as our friend BillyBob has proved, someone was bound to folllow it up with something stupid sooner or later and chances are we'd have had four pages anyway. At least this way we can have the sensible comments show up first. Well, apart from BillyBob's, of course!

I'am still not sure why people think City have a better "team on paper" than United?

Maybe it is to do with the fact that not everyone has the same opinion as you!

posted on 2/9/11

yeh could be that.

But "on paper" Uniteds squad is very strong (in my opinon like)

I suspect it might have something to do with the fact that you have Fletcher, Carrick and Cleverley in your first team. Just a guess...

Not keen on those 3 eh?

Personally i theink they are all class when on top of their game

It amazes me that people were saying the same about Ando last season but that has suddenly stopped.

Why have Fletcher (captain of Scotland) & Carrick played yet?

Cleverley would get into most Prem leagues first team IMO, but were talking squads here.

I think although City have had a good start a few are getting a tad carried away with themselves.

On "paper" its United for me, but I would say that.

Newtonheath, take off those specs.

sunglasses today.

But the proof will be in the "pudding" as they say, City might have more stars but United have the better squad IMO.

Three games played....get back to me in October!

Seriously, get back to me, If you still hold him in the same high regard then I will accept that you may have a point!

Ando - 6 goals in 130 odd games, well worth the €30m.

BillyBob, I think I owe you an apology. I completely forgot the Tour De Force of stupid that is Newton.

Cleverley... the man that almost shone in the Wigan side that were so very nearly relegated. So he'd get into any PL first team would he? The only reason he got into Wigans was because they were hardly tripping over midfielders. Even I'd have got into that side!

anderson has been hampered with injuries since 2007 and is only now benefiting from a decent and sustained run in the first team and we are starting to reap the rewards. the more expensive dzeko didn't exactly 'settle' into premier league fotoball immediately either did he?
