Better than the same old, same old that the Prem' usually serves up. I think they have done it, wether we like it or not. Pleased for Wes.
Doesn't top our achievements anyway.
If we were to consider most of Brian Clough's reign at Forest one long period of overachievement, then that makes the present mess slightly more bearable………
who I'm I kidding? no it doesn't; bye bye fawazi
I get the feeling we're losing fans to them. I'm not keen on the club or the efforts to turn anything they do into a peeing contest. I agree their not hated rivals in the sense of some, but they are local, I'm not keen on the club and although I have a few excuses to, I'm not cheering them on.
I think it's because forest have done something similar in the past - whether you consider that achievement superior or not - the fact is that they're similar stories. Given the fact there is a rivalry there (albeit not much of one) that's probably why they're singing it
There is a few teams around who have won leagues unexpectedly and it appears against the odds. The comparison here is unnecessary, when they win the title it's a great story on it's own. Although I firmly believe if they want to do that, then it doesn't match up.
They wasn't promoted last season.
They aren't competing against the European champions.
The teams you'd expect to be up there, along with big spenders aren't doing the best and they're not the only club higher than you'd expect.
They haven't reached the 6th round of the FA Cup or won the League Cup.
There is no need for this to keep coming up and no accident it isn't someone like Ipswich who surprised everyone by winning the league, and had people doubting them and the way they played.
I genuinely could not be more pleased for Fester, I hope they don't bottle it and win the premiership handsomely, it would be. Like a breath of fresh air.
However, I see no comparison between their winning the Prem, and us winning the old first division.
Should they win the Champions league back to back then maybe I will reconsider, until then, each win will have its own individual and warranted merits.
I am not particularly interested in Fester but am rooting for Wes, a footballers footballer.👍
As a complete neutral, I think that Leicester winning the Prem in today's environment of billionaire owners would top you guys winning it in 78.
However
Your overall achievement was far far greater. To win the European Cups more times than your domestic league is an incredible feat, that is the pinnacle of cup football, not a (frankly) overrated domestic league.

In my opinion it was sung in response to accusations that we've never won a proper trophy - I don't much like Forest or Derby baiting unless we're playing each other, its like trying to pinch someone's girlfriend when she isn't interested in you, plain embarrassing.
Having said the above, it pains me to type it, but the Prem would be better with you two in it so hurry up

Don't be daft
The reason the media are also comparing us to forest is because the money we have spent is peanuts compared to United, City and the rest
£400k on Mahrez, £5.6m on Kante, £1m for Schmeichel, £800k for wes etc.
Our whole team cost less than Adam Lallana when we beat Liverpool so don't give me the billionaires nonsense. We aren't Blackburn and like forest we've come up (albeit needed another season) and signed top class players on a shoestring and moulded them
Into a proper team
To be honest Ray you sound more bitter about the whole thing the more you bang on about it. At least your fellow fans are showing a bit of class
Yes I was watching, didn't hear them chant that but as most Forest fans, I'm happy for them, it's been their best ever season by a million miles, so if they want to sing about us then let them.
I honestly never thought we'd ever see a minnow win the league again, and even though they're taunting us about their success it's about bloody time they caught up with us (and Derby!)
I was stating that Leicester had billionaire owners which is a fact
Although your spending is small compared to many other clubs, it's not peanuts by any means. As I say it will be a great achievement but had the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal or Man City being in a better place (despite spending), then it may have a bit been a bit tougher.
Three of those clubs seem to be going through a transition and Arsenal are well, doing an Arsenal
I hope that Leicester do gate crash the premiership party and win.
I accept that Leicester fans will deserve their moment in the sun if they do, and rub our collective noses in it for a while.
I do hope though, they don't overnight become as arrogant an obnoxious as some of the fans of the 'proper' premiership teams.
I also hope the trophy engraver can learn how to spell Leicester in time, it's trickier than what they're used to.
It's D E R B .........
Good luck!
For me, there's never really been a rivalry with Leicester. Teams like Leeds and Sheffield United bother me a lot more. Would absolutely love to see them win and think it would be a remarkable achievement considering where they were last year. Any who denies that is a clown. For me, though, it'd take a defence of the title or a champions league final for it to match up with what we did. Shouldn't really matter, though. Incredible achievements all round.
I don't think many/any are denying that SHH. Just a little sick of the peeing contest some muppets have turned it into. It should stand by itself
Haha!!!!
The European Cup was a piece of pee to win back then. The only reason you won it back to back was because you automatically qualified for it second time. It's not like you won the league again and then won it again. It was harder to win the FACup than your second European Cup and that's why you didn't win the FACup.
Brian was right, the league is the biggest challenge. Nuff said.

Don't worry Stardude, Ray's like that. He can't stand others being successful. He needs to build a bridge and get over it.
It was that easy to win that Derby actually qualified twice for it through the league and won it neither time
You really are a moron Iwas, I hate oxygen wastage which is just about the only reason you annoy me.
Cheated actually, you need a history lesson.
Anyway, stop thinking your league/cup wins are better than Liecesters Prem win (if they do it) cos it ain't.

They did beat Real Madrid 4-1 though, so they must have won it at least once? Oh, 5-1 to Real in the second leg you say? Oh, never mind then. They can always look at our trophieS which we will always, always, always have.
