Last chance to win the league? Why?

Leicester were bottom of the league this time last year. So by your logic every single team in the league have failed and every single manager should be sacked as they all had better teams right?

Leicester will win the league because they have been superior to every other team not just Wenger. They are on course to finish in eighties thats not due to arsenals failures that due to their success.

Should spurs sack their manager at end of the season? they have afterall got the top scorer in their team yet still couldnt win a single trophy
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You completely miss certain key factors here. Wenger has been at Arsenal for two decades, and has been rebuilding the team for the last 11 years, whilst Ranieri has been at Leicester for 10 months. When will Wenger's re-building finally end? Wenger has a bottomless pit of financial resources, whilst Ranieri is operating on a shoestring budget. Of course I do not blame Wenger for the circus at Arsenal - I fully blame a toothless board who are easily impressed with his endless nonsense and even tell him he has a job for life at the club. At any other top club Wenger would have been sacked years ago, no wonder he won't leave for another club because no other club will put up with his stupid experiments.

Leicester's success is not so much a yardstick for other clubs' success or failures (although the rest of the league should learn a lot from it), but it's a huge indictment on Wenger's failure in the last decade when he could have absolutely and easily bossed the league. Ranieri's success has also smashed the nonsensical myth that there are no managers out there good enough to replace Wenger.

Nicely articulated response, unfortunately you probably wont receive any further reply to this as it completely dispells alot of false notions constantly perpetuated by staunch Wengerites

Ranieri has excelled this season and has been better than wenger and every single other manager in europe. his success is not an inditment on Wenger, are you saying wenger should be sacked because he was not the number one performing manager?

bottomless pit?

If someone perform spectacularly you hold your hands up and admit they have done a great job, not use it as a stick to selectively beat one manager out of hundreds in europe he has outperformed.

Techinically this will be the first time a manager has outperformed Wenger wont it? When i say outperform i mean only in the respect of a team finishing higher than Arsenal despite being longer odds than arsenal pre season? So because someone has performed better than wenger it proves he should be sacked? interesting

This is garbage, you cannot say he has been better than any other manager in europe this season. That sounds like pure sensationalism in an attempt to exonerate Wenger from failure this season. You can only really measure his season against other managers that have participated in the same competitions that he has been in, i.e domestically, as your argument seriously falters when considering the inclusion of european football.

He has definitely been the best manager in England but don't try to extrapolate that across to Europe also.

By that same sentiment, Why has Wenger, a manager held in such high regard, that has had full control of nearly everything surrounding the squad, finances etc for a long while.......been unable to perform as spectacularly as Ranieri has this season for one single season over the past 10 years or so now.

What does Ranieri possess that Wenger doesn't?
There must be something as its not exactly luck is it....

Every team should sack their manager??? No but funnily City, Chelsea and likely United have already done so as they've deemed this campaign a failure, whilst Wenger stays and continues to fail, the man has no shame.

Leicester went from 20th to 1st within a year whilst Arsenal have stayed in 3rd/4th for 10. I wouldn't fancy us making the jump, oh and that progress came from sacking their last manager.

Sacking Wenger may be a risk but it's also the only chance of progression as other clubs have proven.

You're finished anyway Godfather don't know why you keep going on, Wenger facked up and destroyed all your arguments over the last 5 years.

Trash coach and ultimately a failure

WHU ran the Gunners of the field for most of the game. Arsenal, like their manager, are lethargic and require a younger more dynamic leader plus some new talent. This team, as it stands, is going nowhere and ditto for next season.

By the way, it sure would be nice to have had a real goalkeeper who realizes that his job is to take control of the six yard box instead of bending over to take the ball out from the net!

what's that got to do with Leicester though?

Chelsea were in the relegation zone
City wanted Pep and gave him the nod months ago
United are horrendously turgid to watch and look likely to be out of the CL spots at seasons end.

The link to Leicester is non existent
