Pete is a clever one he will take every opportunity to take the spotlight off his own failings and the gullible fall for it every time
It came from a 'rangers source' it would appear. Andy Goram did a piece on it and whyte in todays scottish sun. It is a good read go have a look
there are none so blind as those that will not see
Whyte must love mugs like you
andy - surely petes been around long enough not to be suckered in by ' a rangers/celtic source/insider'?
Gordon Smith released it to the media late on Wednesday evening.
Included in the loop was Jim White, sky, who said on air that he had received an email from someone at Rangers I think.
Your chief exec, ex-media, spinning it out. Apparently.
Why?
irvine - so you have seen a direct quote?
How can you lot see when you are facing the wrong way then? How does that work?
tim - you got a quote of this release to the media from gordy?

There is the article. Good read
Ibrox,
I have my sources, just like Jim White
I think the reason pistol pete referred to it was because everyone in the game up here knows where it came from. One of those worst kept secrets if you like.
It doesn't matter one jot to me whether there was a £9m bid or a £9bn bid put in. Jelavic is still at Rangers and that's all that matters.
You can read into these stories all you want and get your pantaloons in a twist about it but Jelly's still here.
If he'd wanted to leave he would've put in a transfer request to make things happen but that didn't materialise either so nothing has changed.

What are own failings exactly?
We signed a left back to cover until Izzi gets back, sold Maloney for 1 million and brought in another promising young striker for 2 million. Albeit we didnt get rid of Sammy but with Bangurra in that will push him down the pecking order.
Gulliable Rangers fans beliebe this pash about an "unnamed" club, all a stunt to cover up the fact you have spent pea nuts, where was the 5 million he promised? All your top summer targets turned you down.
Offering 100k for an established South African internationalist?
I see the HMRC have visited to collect their 3 million but we are the ones that are failing
"There is the article. Good read"
Surely it's not a load of sensationalist nonsense is it? From the Sun? Surely not!
Rats,
The thing about it is the unsubstantiated nature of it all, and why??????? Why 'concoct' a huge bid, so late in the window?
I know what you're saying about that rag of a paper, but it is Goram who speaks.
tbh
i used to think big pistol was a bit of a but he has shown a human side and not afraid to have a bit of craic, good show
No name , Quite simply , you don't win very many trophies do you?I suppose that in its self would create the paranoia that you have with all things Rangers , but hey how could i know when we don't have your problems with lack of domestic success.
I remember stories that Celtic allegedly turned down a £9m bid for Scott Brown.
"Rangers say they have rejected a £9m offer from an unnamed club for striker Nikica Jelavic after warding off an earlier approach from Leicester City.
The Championship club had a £6.5m bid turned down by the Scottish champions.
Leicester then had a bid of more than £4m accepted by Everton for forward Jermaine Beckford.
But a Rangers source claims that they have since received a call from an agent offering substantially more but refused to name the interested club."

But at wuz pyoor gospel so it wuz Blue
Rats - I see the fake bid worked on you. Release this bogus story, get Rangers fans worried about losing Jelavic (rightly so) and then have them pleased that he is still there come 1st of September while not questioning the fact you've only had a net spend of £500k. Job done.
it may be true, it may not. I just find it strange that somebody off petes experience would comment, on a rivals business, in response to a unnamed 'source'.
Dave, Is that a wee bit like saying losing is the new winning? Do you believe the people could be so gullible?

What makes you say that? to quote my earlier post:

Does that help?

I understand what you're sayin but it's still in true Sun style, written in such a way that it'll sell the paper.
I've no idea what the truth in it is, and I don't really care to be honest, because like I say it hasn't change the fact that Jelavic is still here.
