why does it have to be a "name"?

Wenger won the double in his first full season and nobody knew who he was.

Ronald Koeman?

Look at Utd when they got rid of SAF, it'll be exactly the same for you

spurs fans wants us to keep wenger, of course you do. So do Chelsea and Utd fans.

I'd take Koeman for now. Would love Simeone.

Truth is the club were so comfortable sticking with Wenger that no contact was made when Guardiola and Klopp were available.

Hopefully our mug board are coming to terms with the fact that Arsene won't be there forever and they've taken the pizz out of the fans long enough.

Pathetic Article.

For £8Million per year there are plenty of managers who will take a punt on Arsenal.

We could have got Pep, Klopp, Conte, Anchelotti but we stuck with Wenger like fools.

Our club is the laughing stock of the PL with our yearly choke, our 4th place challenge ect.

A better balanced team maybe. What are wenger's strength's anyway, care to list them?

I know he takes a mean £7-8M salary.

You need a 'Arsene Wenger's Support Crew, Tottenham Branch'. Maybe you could sing his name at some of your games?

United were PL champions, they only way was down for them. We are serial bottlers who inspire to be fouth. We have a manager who still doesnt know we need a CB, DM and a CF after how many faking years.

He lucked out for Coq and got lucky with the GK as Cech wanted to leave Chelsea.

So weird how people forget this.

In fact you could argue the best performing managers over the past 5/6 years have been those that have made a step up to a bigger club, as opposed to those managers like Pep who went from one massive club to another

I think Koeman's great, I like Slaven Bilic, but to be honest at this point I'd be happy to take a punt on someone less well known that could be like a Wenger mk2 for us.

Anything but groundhog day and Wenger's excuses yet again next season

I think the point he's making is you didn't get any of those guys and they are no longer available, so if you still want Arsene out who would you now replace him with?
-------------
You'd dangle £8Mil in the face of Simeone and see if he wants to join. Even with this squad he would have the team playing for each other.

Koeman wouldnt be a bad shout and neither would DB and Bergy.

Literaly anything is better than the tripe we are seing now. We can't even blow teams away once in awhile which we used to do. Its the same tippy tappy boring passing style and i like many have had enough.

We have scored fewer goals than Newcastle at home but yeah I do get your point that no one out there is good enough to replace Wenger.

To say these other managers aren't better than Wenger is conjecture.
The only thing we can say is Wenger is not taking us forward. I will always maintain Wenger did a good job from 05 to 13 (not great, but met the objectives). But even then I had massive doubts as to if he should be the one to take us forward into the new era.

We need new ideas, Wenger is making the same mistakes again and again. His staff are not proactive in changing Wengers fortunes either.
Frank de Boer, for example, may not be better - but he is certainly different. He has had success at Ajax, but certainly reached the ceiling of what he can achieve there. Why shouldn't we give him the platform to see if he can go up a few levels?

There will always be risk. But without a gamble you won't win.

This current time is similar to when the PL first came about, with clubs benefitting from big money investments into the league. Every chance that with Wenger we could fall out of contention in the fast moving change of climate.

What is it with all these 'Pool, Man U and Spurs fans lecturing us about Wenger?

posted on 19/4/16

Not this bollox again, who can replace Wenger. It's time for change and we may not get it right first time but his lost the dressing room.

Btw, Wenger managed Monaco to the title in France and the CL semi finals. Not sure unknown is the right term for him. Unprecedented in the PL maybe, a foreign manager was far from the norm and the traditionalists certainly didn't entertain the notion at first with great enthusiasm.

Did anyone think that Pochettino could turn Spurs into title challengers when he was at Southampton?

Really hate it when people say look at what happened to United when Fergie left,

Were they serial bottlers? Did they not win the league in donkeys years? Did they bend over for the big teams year in year out? Did they go out in the CL after the group stage almost every year?

I see the "careful what you wish for" brigade are out again, ironically most are Spurs fans who are probably rubbing their hands together with glee.

No chance of Simone or Blac leaving their clubs.
------
Assuming you mean Blanc, not sure why you think his job is safe. PSG are not best pleased at being dumped out if the CL at the quarters again amd are allegedly looking for a replacement.

wouldnt want him at Arsenal, though.
