Garth Crooks team of the week includes Wes Morgan, Lascelles and Darlow. Well done to our former players I guess...?

Gardner won the goal of the season competition. I'd have said Oliveira V Derby myself, but that's just about the only other goal we've scored this season.

Sorry for your loss, morninchile

Hi Morninchile,
I want to add my sympathies. I went through a very similar blow last season. Being abroad made an awful situation even worse. Unlike your mum, mine never went to a match or even knew the slightest thing about football, but as a mother she always wanted her son to be happy and I miss her cheery "Who are they playing? I hope they win!" as I left the house to go to a game.
Wishing you a special game on Saturday.

MK Dons vs Nottm Forest

Saturday 7th May 12.30pm
Sky Bet Championship
Stadium:MK

At one stage, this looked like it could be a relegation decider, but with a slight upturn in form for Forest (4 games unbeaten) and MK Dons only getting 2 pts from their last 5 games and already relegated, it has now become something of a dead rubber.

Forest will play their first ever competitive game at stadium:MK against the Dons, though Forest did visit for a pre-season fixture nearly two years ago with Stuart Pearce.

Forest will be backed by their biggest following of the season in Buckinghamshire, with around 4,000 tickets already snapped up by Reds supporters

What happened when we met before?

The Reds were victorious over Karl Robinson's side in December winning 2-1 at the City Ground. Nelson Oliveira and Ryan Mendes put Forest 2-0 up inside 16 minutes, before Josh Murphy netted with nine minutes to go, to set up a frantic finish.

Recently crowned Player of the season Dorus de Vries denied former Forest trialist Nicky Maynard from the penalty spot to preserve the three points for Dougie Freedman's side.

Team News MK Dons

Relegated MK Dons go into their last game of the Sky Bet Championship season hoping to leapfrog Charlton Athletic and give their fans something to cheer about.

Youth player Connor Furlong made his debut when he played the last few moments against Ipswich on Saturday and could get another chance to prove himself.

Samir Carruthers and Kyle McFadzean could be risked with each on 14 yellow cards; another will incur a three-match ban carrying over into next season.

The former was chosen last weekend while the latter was an unused substitute.

Team News Forest

Michael Mancienne could be in line to return to the Forest match-day squad following a month out with an ankle injury.

Jamie Ward, who has a hamstring problem, and David Vaughan, who is carrying a knock, are unlikely to be involved as they look to recover from their injuries in time for Euro 16.

Kelvin Wilson's back injury could prevent the centre-back from featuring after missing the last five league fixtures.

Teenage midfielder Oliver Burke could start after coming off the bench at the weekend while Britt Assombalonga is pushing for a recall, having made three substitute appearances following a long-term knee injury.

Personally, I would like to see some of the younger players and Britt getting a game, regardless of the score or result;

Something like
Evtimov, Lichaj, Mills, Worrall, Jokic, Burke, Grant, Cohen, Osborn, Walker, Assombalonga

I'm really not bothered about the result so long as the youngsters get a run out, let’s all hope next season is better than this one.

Have a great summer everybody!

I have only just seen Morninchile's post, and I had not realised that his post had become the Match Thread.

My condolences to Morninchile on his loss, and apologies if I have stepped on any toes by creating this thread.

Has the embargo been lifted? Is this a reputable site for news?

Good news - the Football League has confirmed the transfer embargo will be lifted. £$£ YAY! $£$ #nffc

I would rather keep him, he's the kind of player Britt will need next season with Antonio gone.

If we can sign Oliveria and Gardner, with everyone fit and well next season I think we'd do drastically better next season. Maybe even Mendes, a pre-season with a new manager might sort him out and he DOES have potential to be a very good player at this level.

Spare a thought for Dougie Freedman at this time, he got us out of this embargo, he made some cracking signings with nothing to spend (relatively nothing), and had half a squad to work with for most of his time here.

Without Oliveira's goals or Mills and Pinillos (and Jokic) we'd be looking up how to get to Wimbledon's new ground now. He deserved another season I reckon. Oh well.

Not that we don't trust Fawaz, but Paul Taylor has just had confirmation of the embargo being lifted from the football league themselves.
