Maybe Sanches can be that guy for you?

Noel has amazing football knowledge

Hopefully, it's a huge problem with our midfield. It makes our counter attacks so poor as well.

Clockwork

I have always said that the hardest thing to defend against is a player who can run with the ball through the middle.

I think it is why SAF tried to convert Giggs. Anderson if he could have stays fit was perfect for that role.

Don't see any of our current players able to do this

Fellaini?

Nah I think he just lost his marbles with Giggs.

I don't think Fergie has ever really been that big on having a dribbler in midfield. Our best midfields under him didn't really have one, and when we got a brilliant one in Veron he wasn't utilised properly.

Chris

Fellaini is a brilliant dribbler. Then you put a football in front of him and it totaly throws him.

While i don't think it's a travesty that Ozil hasn't made it, he certainly could have.

If you watch our games he's been let down hugely by the players around him and actually had a genuinely excellent season (bar the odd few games).

The others have been very good too and I guess their best spells have come at a crucial time in terms of when the team of the season is sorted.

The others have also had a part in lifting their sides to unexpected heights this season whereas despite his often brilliant individual performances Ozil's Arsenal have had another fairly poor season.

He mentioned it in an interview once. It was after an CL game where we got ripped through the middle. It might have been Juve.

Fergie did?

Didn't seem to make much difference to how he wanted to build his midfields, though, seeing as Veron, Kleberson, Anderson and a fourty year old Giggs were the only cm's you'd describe as dribblers that we had and they didn't exactly work out.

Ross Barkley does it pretty well...

Yeah but I don't see him as a cm. For years it was Rooney dropping back to collect the ball and driving forward with it.

Obviously Keane and Scholes would do so in their prime but I don't think you'd describe either as a dribbler.

Isnt it voted for by the players?

Maybe they all think he is a bug eyed bottler too?

posted on 22/4/16

I don't think Ozil is a bottler. The strikers who he makes chances for are bottlers.

posted on 22/4/16

Nah Ozil is definitely a bottler.

I think Ozil's a bottler aswell, but tbf to him he's played well in a few big games this season

As I said earlier in the article, Ozil is just a luxury player. When you're team are playing well he's a great player to have, when your back is up against the wall he's of little use.

he would transform our side hugely.

I do love how our fans turn their noses up at the very type of players we need

Like your man Mata?

Though I happen to agree, a player like Ozil would have helped us in the games against smaller sides where we failed to unlock the defence.

Saying that, I'd still suggest cm, the wing and a striker are our priorities way before somebody like Ozil.

Ozil has way more to his game than Mata. he'd also help us in big games. Believe it or not, Ozil does turn up in big games.

Where did I say he doesn't?

It's usually when Arsenal are playing crap he doesn't turn up. As I said, luxury players great to have when the team is playing well.

Many Arsenal fans agree so don't know why you're making such a deal of it.

Not very often. He'd improve us, but would still struggle playing in this system.

I actually think Mata has more to his game than Ozil when on form, but that hasn't been very often for a while now.

Ozil is far more consistent at doing what he's best at: creating chances.
