If England win the series all by innings i will be very happy. I want England to dominate teams and put them to the sword..
anyway not a good forecast today. though sunday and monday look decent. should be over tomorroow evening sometime..
There has to be some kind of a balance... Because at the moment it goes from one extreme to another :
Asian pitches - people complain of flat tracks and slow scoring rates despite winning/ result pitches
England pitches - way too favourable to bowlers and games last 3/4 days and that with rain interventions
Where do you draw the line? Also, lots of empty seats everywhere in test cricket no matter who is playing. Not good for the game
wickets in england have been very flat recently aswell.
You are guranteed 5 full days of cricket in the subcontinent usually..In england your not..if we prepared flat wickets we would get a result.. England leave grass on and thats fair. If england hada been bowled cheaply and the wicket played a part. then thats ecb fault..
Nz played on green grass wickets against Aus.. NZ lost the toss in both games and lost both games.. its swings and round abouts..
Its not Englands fault Sri-lanka dont have any great batsmen now.
England,
Fair point but it's not just about Lanka not having great batsmen is it? Look at England's performance, only had 2 men that scored bulk of the runs - one being a Yorkshire player so effectively used to pitch and conditions
It wouldnt have mattered what pitch we played on.. England have the bowles to bowl sri-lanka out cheaply..
The only time i complain about pitches is when the wicket is so flat the bolwers have no chance..I dont care if a home team prepare pitches to win games.. I wont complain if India produce rank turners when England go there in the winter..Its upto England to find ways of getting runs
Why should anyone be suprised that wickets offer England help at home.. You have to have accept it and find ways of getting around it..
One thing that disappoints me is sky sports. They seemed to have talen Nasser Hussein off the test cricket commentary, thought he was excellent. hey well.
Just not the same without Hussain.
There's one for Jimmy. 10-1.
Think they rotate their commentators due to T20s on skysports... Expect him to be back at some point in the summer
Taylor talking about fielding at short leg
Bumble - is there any bowler you think crikey I don't want to field here with him bowling
Taylor - yes... Samit Patel
And when England play away, in conditions which favour the home side... Its toys out the pram time.
Lefty go easy on England... You'll be supporting them in a few weeks
Silva gone. Well bowled by Jimmy, good catch by Bairstow.
