Now the world needs to see GGG vs Canelo.
As for Khan - a grea effort but one lapse of concntration/mistake cost him the fight and that boxing for you.
A huge ask to jump 2 weights and fight a bigger and more proven boxer at this level was always gonna be a difficult task. He has hsown a lot of courage and did very well for the first 4-5 rounds - very disciplined nothing too silly and boxed with the right game-plan and even made Canelo look clumsy/ordinary especially in the 2nd.
That KO punch by Canelo would put to sleep any boxer no matter how good your chin is.
I realy fear that this could be the end for Khan but i hope he goes back down to welter or light middle (super welter) and try to rebuild and finish his career strongly.
Hopefully this takes Khan down a peg or two. It was no accident he got knocked the feck out in this fight. Many of us called it beforehand and it seems that for a supposedly elite fighter he's spent an awful amount of time with his back on the canvas.
He needs to stop think that he's up there with the very biggest names in boxing because the reality is that he just isn't. He hasn't even proved himself at welterweight yet.
What we need to see happen next is the Khan v Brook fight which should have happened this summer and needs to happen very soon.
Nothing is going to change for Khan unless he severely ups his defensive game or he gets double glazing done on his jaw.
Brook needs to fight Garcia.
If Brook wins he would have the power/control in terms of boxing politics.
I dont know much about the light middle (super welter) division but looking at the champions list - there is no one eye catching in that division apart from demetrius andrade & even that would be a risk considering what he did to brian rose a few years ago.

Being disciplined, composed and having the energy levels to execute that is a lot harder than you give it credit for.
Canelo was finding his range, and getting his timings down.

It is a business first and foremost, not a sport, and making money, keeping the fighter that makes the most money at the top so they can make more money for the business
Some of the scoring recently in boxing have been a disgrace.
That's why I stuck a cheeky tenner on it being a draw last night as I knew if Khan boxed the pants off of Canelo that he'd only get a draw at best to protect Canelo.
Not sure how it can be rectified tbh.
Chisora getting the nod from that Swiss judge last night is another example. Maybe if they had ex pros, or at least one ex pro as a judge would help.. instead of the random erse they get just now.
Brook will more than likely knock Khan tfo as well if they ever fight which is probably why we they haven't yet although I can't see how Khan avoids that fight now.
It won't happen this year sadly but maybe next spring/summer. As for Canelo he has to fight GGG soon as well.
