yeah....does look indeed like fergie was blowing in his ear.....

if it came to it...yes koeman wld be another good fit for us....or de boer as that's who I wanted before poch was appointed.

Much as I like Pochettino I think Koeman would be easier to get. I think the job he's done at Soton is amazing and his development of players despite losing so many of his star players.

I'd go for Unai Emery over both of them. Koeman n Poch both good managers though.

All this talk of Mourinho though I'm not against it if we're looking to build for the long term then the manager we need is a young, tenacious manager who has proven record of winning big games.

I rate them both and my posting history backs that up. Poch is likely staying in his job but Koeman is available IMO.

His side have won at united and Chelsea this season as well as putting 4 past both arsenal and city.

if you take poch we get koeman.

sounds ok to me, although I would prefer to keep poch

man u seem incapable of making good decisions any more (manager or player) so I expect you to announce some joker like Roberto Martinez as your next boss

If it was a secret meeting about Poch taking over I doubt they would have walked out together.

Actually would be an upgrade on LVG as atleast his teams like to attack.

Theres reports that Spurs were aware of the meeting so it was probably just a coming together of two football men. Nothing in it.

I'd rather get Koeman I wouldnt personally leave spurs if I was Poch they seem on the up.

Poch for united is the best fit
He breads respect throughout the club
Jose burns clubs from within

Moves and counter moves. That's why they were so brazen about Poch's treachery.

Plot Twist: Poch and his assistant were actually convincing SAF to leave United and become our Sporting Director.

OP: We would all obviously love to continue on our season which means keeping the manager and key players but if Poch goes then Koeman would be a good replacement (if Levy then goes for him) so it wouldn't be all that bad. I

Just think with all the stuff with LVG it wasn't the best of times for them to discussing whatever they was together. Surely a phone call would suffice?

They are......but then again if you told their fans that they would be ten points behind Leicester going into gameweek 38, they'd have been furious.

You can just see it happening Koeman to take over at Spurs if Poch leaves continuing the good work. Very impressed how Spurs are ran as a club very jealous.

Thought you were getting Mou

They have definently improved but to quote some points Ian Wright made the other day - this Spurs team seemed angry they finished 2nd they would have rolled over in the past - see the Chelsea game, the same drive Arsenal miss stopping them winning things.

You do question why he hasn't signed a deal to stay yet despite it being "done".

Don't see it happening though. Could have been one last attempt from Utd to persuade him but he may have politely refused due to his respect for Fergie.

posted on 11/5/16

Wasn't the word that its already agreed? I was under the impression it was all finalised, if not then yes there could be a case of approach and its a case what Poch wants to do.

posted on 11/5/16

Also if Poch can make this current Spurs team look amazing imagine what he would do witht he current Utd team. He will also have a stupid budget to play with, if approached he will have some tough decisions to make as both options look very tasty.

Mourinho would actually be great for United. You need someone who will come in and not only get you Champions League football but win you trophies.

If you carry on making making bad managerial appointments then United will continue to loose their appeal and could then just end up like Liverpool.

Once you've started winning a few trophies with Mourinho, highly likely, then you could go for someone else to improve your style of football... unless Mourinho changes it himself in a positive way.

Could still end up with the FA Cup though but because of the Champions League (lack of it) then LVG will probably get the sack... and obviously because he's football has actually been really boring to boot.

If we are trying to get him it just shows how far we'll go to ensure Jose isn't our new manager

I want Jose too. Everyone will hate us even more. The way I like it.

posted on 11/5/16

I would personally we didnt get Jose but only if there is no other option as we are all sick of LVG.

But yes it does show we dont want Jose if there are meetings with Poch. I hope Koeman is in the mix too.

Worst thing would be Giggs taking over.
