Higuain has been very good at Napoli. If Costa goes then he is the best replacement we could get
Front 4 of Hazard, Pedro, Higuain and Willian. Nainggolan and Fabregas behind. Doesn't look too shabby.
No way. Half the price then maybe. What has he ever done?
This is exactly the sort of signing we don't need.
As a lone striker he's better than Aguero so yes please
He's a big game bottler but he scores goals

I'm not particularly fussed about getting Higuain, as I am very happy with Costa. But how can you say 'what has he ever done'?
The geezer is one of the most consistently prolific strikers in Europe. That is a statement made by somebody who's clearly only watched him a few times.

I'm serious. He's been better for Argentina despite bottling it in the WC final. He got 33/34 for Napoli in Series A this season too. He isn't injury prone as Aguero is.

since about 2010 he's been a bench player for Real, then wasted his prime years at a mediocre Italian side.
He's not young and he's quite boring.
Would be scared of Chelsea if you got him, he has become a world class striker. He would cost a bomb though and is now 28, something to consider.
If he was 3-4 years younger then maybe but considering how much he'd cost relative to his age it's not a gamble worth taking for me
Awesome signing if we could pull it off.

Arrogance in a PL team supporter? Shocking!
Overrating foreign players? Awesome!
You are the stereotypical English fan tbh. Watch very little football outside the PL but have a loud mouth nonetheless
I don't rate Higuain that highly and I really don't want to see another over paid striker at Chelsea . No need to be a prat about it
The problem is that yoi think Napoli is a mediocre team. You clearly have zero knowledge of the Italian league making you the prat
Why is this a problem to you?
What do Napoli ever do? Nothing!
Couldn't even win it after calciopoli
Is Liverpool a mediocre club too?
No, they are going to compete for a big trophy next week.
Spurs are mediocre. I wouldn't want Steffen Iverson to sign for Chelsea either.
I see the point steiner is making. Same could've been said of Falcao back in the day (hence his nickname 'the Europ a league king'. Doesn't make him a bad player though. Hig uain is a striker we'd be lucky to get in our current situation.
I don't get this 'lucky to get' stuff though, we can sign anyone if the $$$ is right.
I think the title of this article irked me. I want some young, hungry barstards to join not players who 'might consider' a move to Chelsea whilst playing for some tuppenny ha'penny Italian mob.
After the season we've had the only players who'll want to actively join us will be young players. But considering how important next season is, how pivotal it is we regain our place as a top 4 mainstay at the least, priority 1 is getting players in who can do a job.
If we were lucky enough to bring in Higuain, lucky in the sense we'd beat other teams to his signature who could offer things we can't right now, I'd feel more confident in him doing a job over lets say Traore.
If he was 3-4 years younger then maybe but considering how much he'd cost relative to his age it's not a gamble worth taking for me
------------------------------------------------------------
If we could get him for the amount stated in the article, approximately 38mil, provided he was a replacement for Costa or his partner in a two striker formation going forward - that would be worth it for me.
Just as Conte represents the safest pair of hands on paper for our current situation, Higuain represents the same when acquiring a striker in the summer.
