No outfield player signed in the summer was baffling.

No decent outfield player signed in January was shameful.

you on drugs mate? I gave credit to Leicester they deserved the title for sure. Was just making the point that Arsenal's lack in investment in outfield players in the summer really held us back from having a great chance of winning the title this year.

What's wrong with that logic M8?

Your logic is a pure contradiction that's what's wrong with it

On the one hand you're saying 'Well done Leicester - you deserved it' on the other you're suggesting it was only because your lack of investment...Wenger...blah, blah, blah' that you didn't win the Title

That's some back-handed comment IMO
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So we're not allowed to criticise Wenger for yet again allowing us to fall short of a proper title challenge just because its a back handed insult to Leicester?

Got to say on reflection especially as we just finished 2nd, Wenger really did have his best chance ever of winning the league.

All credit to Leicester but to be honest we should have wrapped up the title this year. The non investment in outfield players in summer was a massive error.
---------------------------------
sorry, but you are deluded

The BEST team won and always wins the Title over the course of a season, for you to suggest that you should have won it, purely because you are Arsenal, is not just an insult to the great League success of Leicester, but it's arrogance beyond belief - you seriously need to wake yourself up mate
----------------------------------------------------------------------
as an arsenal fan i fully agree with you. Leicester have fully deserved it, smashed most teams, grinded out victories and won it at a canter without any real threat at all. The fact Arsenal fans have taken this the hardest, even more so than the defending champions, or the likes of city and united who have spent the money arsenal fans have been crying out for is pathetic and symptomatic of the enitltement culture that has infested the club and left many fans like myself disillusioned.

Leicester won the title because they were the best team and fully deserved it, not because of Arsenal ffs

it was not a backhanded insult to Leicester, I said we "should" have not we "would" have it was my opinion.

Leicester won the title because they were the best TEAM. Full credit to their manager for turning relegation battlers into title winners on a shoe string budget in his first season.

Shame our manager after over a decade can't do the same with his squad of superstars

They won because of their consistency; Arsenal, in terms of the position they were in, resources, stability ( compared to City, Man U, and Chelsea), and squad facked it up, even after beating Leicester twice. Arsenal bottled competing with Leicester for the title. To not even be in contention by early April is an utter disgrace and indicative of the need for changes.

Also, Godfather, you pretty much tripped your argument up in your own sentence.

Yes it is a shame, and hats of to Ranieri because he has achieved something far greater than our manager ever has. However he has not only out performed out manager but other world class title winning managers like Mourinho, Van Gaal, Pellegrini, greatly out performed very talented guys like Koeman, Billic and Pochetinno all with a lesser budget and inferior (on paper team)

Ranieri out perfoms everyone in the history of the premier league yet only arsenal fans in their arroagance believe that their manager is the one who should take all the flak as a result and believe he is directly linked

Checked the United board, or the City board recently, Godfather?

And by recently, I mean at almost any point since last August?

Leicester played the best football throughout the season and thoroughly deserved to win the title. In Vardy, Mahrez and Kante they had the 3 best players in their positions in the league.

Considering how badly we have played for most of the season I can't believe how we managed to get 2nd. Spurs played better football than we did and just ran out of steam after the Chelsea game. This just papers over the cracks and allows Wenger to get away with even more BS.

Except none of those other managers had their team at the top of the table for a significant part ofcthe season, unlike Arsenal. Leicester took top place from Arsenal--Wenger couldn't even sustaim challenging Leicester even though Arsenal had been top of the league. Arsenal's campaign ended in facking early April, despite being top of the league. They botled the 2nd half of the season.

Jose and pellegrini are being replaced. The fans want LVG out and Koeman and billic have improved their own teams beyond their fans expectations, so i dont see what your point is

Godfather's point is simple.

It always has been.

Arsenal's failings are not due to the manager, they are the fault of Arsenal supporters.

On-line Arsenal supporters.

He is, at least, consistent in his belief.
