Ok let's focus on ourselves

Well we just lost 5-1 to a relegated team with 10 men.

Just posted similar article - we are thinking the same thing. This could indeed be a blessing towards next season.

youve been giving it large all season waiting for Leicester to bottle it and once again it was your own shower of shiite that bottled it.

so many idiots using the phrase "bottled it"
what did we bottle exactly. we overachieved this season relative to net spend and the average age and experience of the squad

Wasn't a meaningless game though was it. Maybe for the club but not for us fans. Assuming you live in north London or near by then you know full well that Arsenal and Spurs fans are mixed in together and now we all have to listen to these utter priiiiiiiiiicks giving it large at work / home etc because yet again we have bottled it despite this supposedly amazing season

Fack champions league. That was tied up weeks ago. It's all about pride from then onwards and today we showed we have none.

Every single player should be ashamed of themselves

Ok to get blitzed in a meaningless game with ten men then?
God help you in Europe, Dortmund laughed you out of the Europa

"it was a meaningless game competitively. once the title was lost and champions league was sealed, it was job done."

Never. The only time a game should ever be meaningless is if a team can't possibly move up or down places in the league.

You are duluded son.

Spurs have imploded already. Do you think they will finish higher than third next season? Of course not.

The entire squad, club and manager will be under hugh pressure next season to improve and after coming so close and bottling it, the players won't have the belief.

Look what happend to Liverpool after missing out and bottling it by two points. They imploded and sacked the manger within 18 months.

That's what happens when you run close and miss out on a bottle job. Sure you don't have a Suarez to lose but I can't see Spurs improving squad wise, by enough of a margin to out point Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City next season given their likley player recruitment. So it's almost nailed on that next season will see the Spurs team regress.

Do you remember when Harry let a lead slip on Arsenal and you blamed it on Harry taking his eye off the ball with the England job?

Poch has just done the same after signing a new deal so what's the excuse this time?

oh so you can predict the future?

who thought after the first 4 games when spurs were in the bottom 3 and man city were flying that we would finish above them, our team is young and another year of experience will go a long way, we will more than likely add to the squad and can attract a better quality of player now we are in the CL, pochettino is a pull factor too as players seem to want to play for him.

Its a funny world when the fans are more peed off at finishing in a relatively pointless 3rd rather than 2nd, than they were about the title bid ending.

In August bods were talking about 6th, 7th and lower, yet now are whingeing like byatches.

Terrible result today, shocking sub from Poch when on top and them down to ten - looked a shambles after and no surprise

Well said OP. Definitely a bad result and yeah, they have looked off since end of April but fans can't just flip on and off from pumping their chest to f-ing and blinding. Poch ain't happy. He's said as much and I think there are a few that will move on now purely based on today's performance. Either way, fans need to support the club and deal with the banter. If you know Arsenal fans who take it further than banter then you need to get better mates.

I posted a couple of weeks back that Spurs did NOT bottle the title and I stand by that, after a relatively poor start they were playing catch up.

But sorry, undoubtedly Spurs DID bottle second place, no argument.
