LVG is here to stay.

This is becoming a Liverpool like decline.

The years in the wilderness have only just started.

You desperately need to chill out, mate

LVG is talking about fans like you who expect us to win everything just because we spent money.

To be fair we probably could have mustered up a 5th place finish without spending £250 million if we'd had a better manager.

What are you smoking mate?

I don't expect United to win everything because money was spent. But I also don't expect to watch one of the world's biggest clubs contrive to score less goals than Blackpool's relegated 2010/11 side.

I also don't expect to see United knocked out of the UEFA Champions League by the likes of PSV and Wolfsburg, nor do I expect to see Utd knocked out of cup competitions by the likes of Middlesborough.

I also don't expect to see United labour to a 5th placed finish in the league after spending an unprecedented amount.

So actually, there's a lot I don't expect as opposed to a lot I do expect.

and I just hoped that fans would have shonw a bit more vigour in the LVG Out campaign,

If you rally give such a feck why didn't you go the games, make a banner, protest etc. Keyboard warrior If you met LVG in the street you'd ask him for his autograph.

Hate fans like you who moan and moan and do nothing about it but expect the match going fans to do something

Well, for a start, we're not Arsenal fans, are we. We're a bit smarter than that.

Maybe some of us understand that not everything is black and white, that much more goes on behind the scenes than we see, and trust in the club to make the right decisions.

Part of it might be that we remember rival fans wumming us about the appointment of Fergie through his first three seasons, before he went on to dominate English football for 20 years.

Part of it might be that we remember rival fans wumming us about Fergie's senility in his last few seasons, before he put City back in their box.

Part of it is because we know the club is incredibly well placed to bounce back and resume normal service.

Out of interest, why is our patience concerning you so?

I think Arab mentioned on the match thread last night that two supporters were taken out of the stadium for unfurling an 'LvG Out' banner.

A lot has been made of how the stewards handled the situation on Sunday, and fair play. But, in general, and in my own experience, I have found them to be nothing short of a disgrace. They do absolutely everything in their power to stop attending fans generating any sort of atmosphere in the stadium.

Everton's protests were enough to get rid of Martinez. Maybe United fans need to do something similar.

I work abroad and I'm a Spurs fan, but my Dad was a United fan from Manchester so I admit to having a soft side.

So, LVG is right, then. He has to manage your expectations.

We don't expect to be winning the league champions league etc, but what we did expect was some decent football, and improvement from last year. If you finished 4th last year, spent another £100mil, we expect an improvement, but Utd have gone backwards this year. Of course fans are going to be annoyed. Scoring 49 goals all season is a joke. We may still win the FA cup, even then we made it harder than it should have been with the teams we faced.

It isn't 2004, £250m doesn't buy a squad like Chelsea's, in fact it doesn't buy you a single world class player, as we've seen.

If LVG had come in and signed 5/6 players for £250m, you'd expect titles, but he's started something like 18 new players for that cost, whilst giving us one of the youngest squads in the league.

Some of the signings haven't worked out, that's expected, but the bulk should be a part of our squad for years to come.

How much did Leicester spend to win the league?

or how much did Klopp spend to get Liverpool to a Europa final?

Fair enough, it just annoys me when I hear or read comments from people who bemoan the match going fans, I see it all the time here with people who don't go to ROI matches but criticize the fans etc.

It's easy to say what the fans should do, allot harder to follow your own advice, also I don't really accept living abroad as a valid excuse.

Leicester finished above EVERYBODY.

If we signed Mahrez from Legaue 2 in France, what would our reaction have been?

Liverpool also finished 8th, we may win an FA Cup too.

Not forgetting beating them twice this season in the league.

Liverpool play some nice stuff, but they also defend like a bag of minstrels

And if Liverpool lose that final, they're in a poor state.

Big if though, Seville are poor and I expect an easy victory.
