£12,500?

Is that it?

Even your local MP would raise more than that.

And I bet Levy paid more than that for the "spies" he hired to find out what was going on.

The deal has bent all over it with the two Pooorn Brothers and Brady involved. Why does it surprise us, they are donating to the Tories.

"Great deal for the taxpayer" according to Brady.

Shame she didn't explain why.

Anyone know how much Levy paid the private investigators to spy on West Hams dealings with the OLC?

He might have cost Joe Lewis hundreds of millions! He could have just bunged £12,500 the Conservative party's way.

I don't actually, I associate it with 30 years of failure.

The Tories get funds to fack over unelectable Jeremy and the Pikeys get soulless rentashietole.

What's not to like?

I can feel the Sizzle broadside brewing here in Malta!

They can practically give away season tickets as they're not paying rent...or anything else.

I assume the next step will be a £100m grant towards new players as it will 'boost the local economy'.

This isn't the directors making a donation, it's the fecking club

If I knew my overpriced matchday ticket, shirt purchase, half time pies, etc. were funding the Tories, I'd be fuming.

I mean who pays the full whack for their own new stadium these days? Silly Spurs.

I wonder how much away fans will be charged at the Taxpayers Stadium.

True it's yours, not sure what operating advantage that will grant though.

Well, my Millwall supporting Maltese taxi driver has just assurerd me that not only will the Pikeys fill that stadium every week, they will also be a regular CL team as well within four years.

I don't think holding a degree is a requirement to drive taxis in Malta but you would hope they would at least try to bar the criminally insane

"We own a stadium."

You have my sympathy, those repayments on the construction and then ongoing maintenance costs, it can be a millstone.

I'd advise the modern approach, £2.5m a year, all bills included.

Sane, isn't the general rule if something increases in value, you buy it. If it declines in value you lease it.

Sure there's a supply and demand in the mix too.

Who else will want to buy the stadium from Spurs for an appreciated price?

Gotta say £2.5m a year is a sweet deal when compared to a £400m stadium build who will still incur maintenance costs.

No wonder Levy wanted to get his hands on it, would take 160 years to pay £400m in £2.5m instalments.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the £2.5m get you just your home games?

Owning a stadium allows you to generate revenue from the other 340 odd days in the year. Hence the NFL approach and the naming rights.

That is correct and is the reason £2.5 is a fair deal, West Ham aren't getting it at that price per year, that's for 24 games, additional games are extra.

We get a percentage of the naming rights btw, but obviously no money when the stadium is being used by others.

No idea if that means we are up or down, compared to what Spurs will be with the construction costs/maintenance but potential to earn. I think it would only be 20 years from now if we looked at both sets of accounts we could judge.
