In what world is he perfect for us style-wise? Absolutely dumbfounding signing.

He will revolutionise our attack I love this signing if it happens of course, his pressing is ot of this world and we will have the fear factor back in our attack, get in Jamie

Vardy is a much better version of Walcott (who suits us but just isn't good enough). Would be delighted if this happened. He's a bit of a too and we need some of that in the team

PERFECT FIT???? what planet are you on? Is wenger playing direct football next season then? Vardy will be no good with tippy tappy football
20+ million for a 29 year old reliant on his pace ....really?

People on this site do behave like feckin spoiled rats.

"Morata is too young, hasn't scored and unproven"

"Vardy is too old and won't suit our style"

We have had feckin Giroud as main striker for years. When Welbeck came back from injury, we played so much better. At this stage, I'd take anyone to make sur Giroud doesn't lead our attack next season

Not a perfect fit. Quite the opposite. His strenghts are all based around the space he gets while playing Leicesters system. Space is something we rarely get due to how other teams set up against us which is why we need more technical players players who excell in small tight spaces

Underwhelmed to be honest.

If it was August I would be happy, but we have time to get a better player surely.

Unbelievably stupid decision from Wenger who is reportedly looking to employ him out wide.....which is working great for England

He doesn't suit arsenals system at all.....they would literally have to change their whole philosophy to make it work

Bad deal for both clubs and a sign that Wenger has truly lost his way

How many proven strikers are available in general, nevermind those that can excel in tight area?
In fact apart from Suarez and Aguero (well and Messi) which striker would fit that bill?

Giroud is a better fit for us than Vardy, however much you may hate him.

I'd be happy for us to let Vardy go if he was at least going to be used properly - and of course we got a high profile replacement

The news has only just broke, yet you know that AW intends to employ the player wide? How?

Signing Vardy will be a superb coup for the club. At the prices mentioned I have no idea how anybody can NOT be excited about this deal? Fair play to the board if we pull this off

How is Giroud a better fit?
Did not notice the difference in our style when either Walcott or Welbeck are in form? We can actually play exciting football when our strikers bother to make runs
Vardy although not great is still a better finisher than those two mentioned. To me, it is a no brainer

Not quite sure what to make of this as it seems to have come out of nowhere!

Obviously there's doubts about Vardy being a one season wonder, but if he isn't I think I'd be happy with it

The issue has always been needing a different option to Giroud and with Vardy playing I doubt we'd be so lethargic in our play, rather than playing that way despite him.

Interesting

I just hope Vardy doesn't get played out wide because it will be a waste of money.

And is he maybe being signed as HG because we're shipping out some of ours? I'm not sure where we stand on our HG quota though, just a thought

He'll be running onto ozil through balls instead of long balls, we played more counter attack when Walcott was up front and created more, only difference is vardy can finish and has that hunger to score goals that Theo doesn't
