A pretty decent revamp I must say.

This will give us an idea on how the B team's would fair and also the idea of a British style tournament which I think would be a pretty decent competition.

Fair play to the SPFL for this, a bold but forward thinking move

Good idea.

It's a perfect competition for these plucky new teams to enter. recently a team only formed 4 years ago won it.

It's all just tea and tears these days. Ivan lashes out for no reason, and keeps tearing out the back half of the newspaper saying it's all rubbish.

The BBC have updated their leagues

I've got a feeling my tea is either going to be too hot or too cold tonight Admin1

I actually think it is a decent idea to have this revamp by the way. A bit of forward thinking at last.

When the fixtures are announced... That's when I'll do what needs to be done.

It's apparently also including the top 4 Lowland League clubs, as well as the top 4 Teuchters.

Doing their best to prevent financial armageddon, can't see it being successful though.

Just found a copy of Ivan's and Admin's diaries online. Check out these from the same day...

ADMIN'S DIARY

Tuesday 3rd May 2016

Saw Ivan late in the evening and he was acting really strangely. I was blogging in the afternoon with the Admin 2 and I did turn up a bit late so I thought it might be that. The bar was really crowded and loud so I suggested we go somewhere quieter to talk. He was still very subdued and distracted so I suggested we go somewhere nice to eat. All through dinner he just didn't seem himself; he hardly laughed, and didn't seem to be paying any attention to me or to what I was saying. I just knew that something was wrong. He dropped me back home and I wondered if he was going to come in; he hesitated, but followed. I asked him again if there was something the matter but he just half shook his head and turned the television on. After about10 minutes of silence, I said I was going upstairs to bed. I put my arms around him and told him that I loved him deeply. He just gave a sigh, and a sad sort of smile. He didn't follow me up, but later he did, and I was surprised when we made love. He still seemed distant and a bit cold, and I started to think that he was going to leave me, and that he had found someone else. I cried myself to sleep.

I seem to be out of the loop with this one.

Probably for the best.

I had a thought on the new format this morning....

What if a Scottish fourth tier team is drawn against a Welsh or Irish team away, with the tie to be played on a Tuesday night? The Scottish boys will have work the following day and it may well be that they won't be able to travel.

There would also be costs involved in travelling to Wales and Ireland. Are they being covered?

It's no coincidence that they waited until this season to do it.

Imagine the backlash if they had done it last season and the bears never got to see their team win it in 4 attempts losing to the great rivals Linfield
