Reyes. Had a brilliant start for us but was never the same after the Neville brothers teamed up on him and he decided he was homesick
Walcott. Done well for us but could have done a lot more. Injuries and incorrect use both contributed to this
Morientes. amazing player but couldn't cut it in the UK
Oh and Bruno Cheyrou the new Zidane
Alan Smith loved him even though he was a Leeds player. Started wel for us but fizzled out.
Veron is an obvious one.
Ambrosetti. Was meant to be our Ryan Giggs, according to Vialli anyway
Remember when we signed Brian Laudrup and he was awesome. We could have won titles in the late 90's if he stayed

To be fair to Smith he scored in his first few games for us and then we signed Rooney and he found it harder to get in the team. Then he was moved to midfield. Then he broke his leg.

Funny to think of a player who so openly doesn't like the rotation system these days.
Alberto Moreno- looked like one of the best young full backs in the world when he played for Sevilla. Absolute garbage for us ever since he arrived.
Harry Kewell, Fernando Morientes, Ryan Babel and Robbie Keane.

Aye, I really liked Smith when he was Leeds players too
People forget that he did score a few goals at the start of his United career, then Ruud came back from injury, we signed Rooney and he was dropped, then moved into midfield.
The obvious disappointments were Veron and Di Maria, the not so obvious one's were Blanc and Bosnich for me, I thought they were going to be brilliant for us...
Can't forget Joe Cole lol

With Bosnich I felt the same at Chelsea..............
But Cudicini was actually a very good reason at the time as to why Bosnich (even excluding the coke) did not work out for us.

Laudrup for me.
Also Robert Fleck, cost us like a Million a goal when a Million in football was worth something as well
Reyes for Arsenal. Very good for a while till it got too physical for him and Jeffers, who was meant to be the fox in the box signed after we dominated Liverpool in the FA Cup final and lost.
"Eric is a young player we've watched throughout the season, and he's impressed us each time with his understanding of the game," said Ferguson.
"He's quick, aggressive and a good passer of the ball, and is the kind of athletic footballer we are looking for.
"He looks like a Manchester United player in every sense."

Kleberson, Falcao
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, I expected Kleberson to do really well for us. I still think he was a decent player; he just had a few injuries and never really nailed down a position. He also tended to be given games with lots of other squad players, rather than being inserted into a strong side. A shame, really.
For Spurs.
Rebrov and Postiga and to a lesser extent Lamela (although he's had a good season - was built up to be more than what he's shown so far)
Gervinho looked like a player on the cusp when he signed. Like he was just starting to click in front of goal and become awesome.
Such as shame that five head was utterly headless.
As a Spurs fan I can remember a few, the most disappointing being:
David Bentley
Paulinho
Soldado
Never got excited by Darren Bent, but he was also a real flop. As were Helder Postiga and Rebrov
hmmmmmm.... surely some chelsea fans must admit to torres massively disappointing them.
I'd say everying signing made by LFC since suarez.
including coutinho and sturridge

WW
Were you like me in thinking Hoddle might change Fleck's fortunes? Based on him not suiting the 'route one' that Porterfield and Webb played. But Hoddle would suit him better?
Thought Pavlyuchenko would've been a big hit at Spurs after his succesfull Euro championship campaign for Russia.
not many players fail for arsenal as Wenger doesnt really buy ready made players but the top 3 should be
1. Jose antonio Reyes
2. Arshavin (Didnt expect much from him but he was a failure)
3. Debuchy
