This is true, but I think that you would have to find balance between justified punishment. Any lower than 4 and I think it would happen too frequently.
A sin bin is an interesting idea
Three yellows per team then any subsequent yellows include a sin-bin penalty.
I not really bothered when players do this but I do think sin bin is a good idea.
Eder today was brilliant.
Rugby tackle. Then kick it away 50 yards.
Great defending by a striker.
That's why Italy and Germany win things.
Cynical needs to be done sometimes.
i like the way clattenburg talks to chiellini and fellaini when chiellini has his arm round fellaini's neck at a corner. Should have been a pen and a 2nd yellow.
Just needs refs with some balls.

Surely Eder should have been sent off?
He committed a foul which was a clear booking, and then immediately booted the ball away as soon as the free kick was given.
Two yellow cards there for me.
I'm perfectly fine with Cinical fouls.

Italians you got to give it to them they really know hie to get a result. That team is really poor apart from 2 or 3 players.
Play within the rules, use them to your fav rage when possible.
Make a professional foul but then run the risk of being sent off. Does the OP not see this every week in the premier league????????
It's frustrating but I don't really see how you can avoid it, nor do I feel it should receive a harsh punishment other than what it gets already.
How about a ban on any pundit who praises it?
Stop tampering with rules and shīt.
Be on some FIFA shīt brehs.
The game is fine as it is stop suggesting stupid changes. Sinbins?! LAMBO! Do you even listen to yourselves?

I remember a Liverpool player getting sent off for two yellows in the one move, forget what it was. I couldn't help but think that should have been the case here.
Sometimes professionals fouls are really annoying and stop a clear chance for a team to break through on the keeper with say a three versus two situation, like we saw tonight, a yellow really doesn't do it justice but then a red is probably harsh. I also don't like the idea of sin bins. It would make the game even more defensive as the team down a man would park the bus until their player is back on. So I guess keep it the same.
Interestingly tactical fouls were something Tottenham did a lot last season. It's a good tactic atm without any real incentive not to do it.
I'm not too sure with the sin bin idea. Perhaps they could trial it to see how it works in football but it wouldn't necessarily be a good thing.

Could work but I can't see it happening any time soon.
I think a quite simple 10minute sin bin would end it and diving too.
Just follow rugby example.
Create the sin bin card.
Save yellows for dangerous play and sin bin guys for taking off shirts, mouthing at refs and this cynical cheating.
The only thing with sin binning is I can imagine teams just sitting all 10 men behind the ball and soaking up pressure for 10mins (however long they're down to 10).
Might make games more boring.
One of those which you hate when it's your player getting fouled but don't mind when your player fouls there attacker to prevent a counter.
My pet hate is all these subs that are made late on. Ruins the flow of the finale. There should be a rule that after 80 mins no more subs allowed.
I've said before, all games to be examined by a panel of ex players and ref's after the game, for every single game.
any incident deemed to be a professional foul or a dive by the panel means the player misses the next game, if the player is already ineligible for the next game for a different action, then he misses the next game he would have been eligible for.
if this happens to the same player 3 times within a season the punishment for him is doubled to two games.
if it happens to the same team 5 times in a season, they lose a point. if it happens 8 times, they lose another point, and continue to lose a point for every 3 further infringements.
once it starts costing a team players and points the manager will soon put a stop to it.
also, it'll pretty much destroy mourinho and stokes usual game plans.
just to be clear, in my post above, these punishments are completely separate to, and have no effect on the usual application of yellow and red cards.
Oh grow a pair.
What's wrong with cynical fouls? Every team can make them if necessary and it's an automatic yellow card so a player can only do it once in 90 minutes so frankly who cares?
