Hopefully Slovakia and Wales beat them and they#ll be gone by this time next week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Will the hooligans actually follow the team back home though?
I'm concerned that they might keep targeting us, regardless.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That could happen I suppose therefore I think it's absolutely vital that the Wales v England match goes off without a hitch on Thursday and that the UK fans put on a united front. Maybe an optimistic call but I fear for some of my friends who are going to the Russia game on Monday night if they are not stopped. I can't imagine there's a large gang of Russian hooligans there but it is rather worrying, during time of heightened security because of ISIS etc, that the Russians were mostly able to do this and escape.
If Russia get disqualified does that mean every team in Group B could qualify for the knockout stages
The Russians are not in the least bit sorry or ashamed.
I don't see anything terrible about fans fighting. Quite the opposite, the guys did well. Keep it up!"
Igor Lebedev, nationalist MP and executive member of Russian Football Union
"The lads defended the honour of their country," Russian media quoted MP Igor Lebedev, who is also on the executive committee of the Football Union.
The spokesman for Russia's powerful Investigative Committee went even further.
"A normal man, as he should be, surprises them," tweeted Vladimir Markin, referring to European outrage at Russian hooligans. "They're used to seeing 'men' at gay parades," he concluded.
So the fans' own reaction is hardly surprising.
"Of course we are worried about the team, that's the main thing," Alexei told the BBC from France, insisting that there would be no more trouble among the fans without "provocation".
He claimed that the clashes at the end of Saturday's match were sparked by a barrage of abuse from England fans.
"Maybe it was wrong what we did," Alexei admitted. "But if people shout insults, they have to be ready to pay for that."
Great attitude!
Luckily there's no Russians on here... A slight bit of wummage and they'll hack the site and take it down.
Russians are generally horrible people let's be honest. Been abroad many times and have had the displeasure of having to congregate with the racist moody f** in the same hotel. No matter where you go the Caribbean or Europe they are almost always rude and the men are usually fat and ugly. The fact that a few of their leaders are actually praising the hooligans speaks volumes of the country and people.

I have met many who are lovely people. You can't make generalisations like that!

Russia is led by an ex-KGB spy who is one of the most dishonest and corrupt leaders of any country and has the diplomacy skills of a 3lb lump hammer.
I've got a mate over in Lille for the game, he tells me that the England and Wales 'fans' are teaming up against the Russians
Ffs what an embarrassment.

Maybe I'm just naive to trips abroad to watch football, but it seems to be that the English fans that get caught up in this.
Just go and enjoy the city, watch the game and come home. No drama.
