I don't rate Suarez lowly, I think he is a top class striker who oozes quality on the pitch, very entertaining to watch and a scorer of great goals. When he joined you I likened him to a lesser version of Tevez, I also said he would do very well for you. I think watching his performances since he arrived I have been proven right on both statements. But I would not place him in the bracket of elite strikers, certainly not yet anyway.

Also re Villa, he is past his best now and I would take Suarez over him to be honest. But Pedro is class and is better than both Suarez and Villa.


Actually nice to see that we can have some decent debate rather than just putting down one anothers players.

Apart from final comment about Pedro completely agree Batmanu, wouldn't put him in this argument but wouldn't accept a straight swap deal if Barce were to offer.

Pedro is one of the best forwards on the planet. His passing, finishing, DRIBBLING, crossing, vision, etc is top class. He would walk into any team on the planet.

Suarez is a forward, Adebayor is striker, there's a difference, Luis is closer to the midfield a lot more than he is to strike partner.

Adebayor on the other hand plays a lot further forward

& yes Kamran I am - whilst being a Barca lover and enthusiast - they are class the lot of them - but Pedro doesn't play for them all of the time and whilst he still is amazing he is not the class of Xavi and Iniesta hence why he can be compared with Suarez's level (even tho different position).

Because we watch matches and what happens on the pitch not look at stats after Spurs are having a good run whilst as good as Suarez is we aren't where we want to be.

He hasn't been playing much this season because he's had a few injuries.

P.S. I think Suarez is more naturally talented than Adebayor but Ade is more effective imo.

I would say Suarez is better than Ade but for Spurs Ade is the one I would take every time. There are hundreds of creative secondary strikers out there that can do a job. Few strikers who can hold up the ball and lead the line like Ade though. A dying talent.

Yes I know about Pedro and his injuries - and I rate him just as highly as you - but I wouldn't swap him for Suarez because of the un-sung as well as the noticed stuff Luis brings to our team.

&& the rest of the stuff here has been my opinion - we'll see the 'official' result when the Ballon d'or stuff comes out - Suarez nominated, I don't see many more Prem faces barring the obvious.

I would have Suarez any day of the week - for he has the ability Van der Vaart has on a similar - but offers a lot more in the lesser areas.
