Rooney made him look foolish at times

He was everywhere...but that does not mean he played well. He waits too long to make a pass and can remember very quickly 2 times in the second half where he ran into trouble when a simple pass sideways was on and a ball over the top down the wing.

Wales (to be fair) offered next to nothing going forward for much of the game

Did you see how much ground Ramsey had to cover in midfield, really?

He has become so clumsy on the ball

Personally I think that some people on here don't have a clue about football .Ramsey played well today in a very average team. He showed a lot of energy and covered a lot of ground. Their best player today.

I haven't been his biggest fan for the last year but it's become fashionable by some to knock him even when he plays well .

This is why English players will never progress. You saw a player running around, putting himself about and covering ground and boooom...he had a good game!

The description above of Ramsey having a good game is exactly what Cattermole and players of his ilk do on a regular basis but get slated for because they're midtable/relegation battling midfielders. As Ramsey is.
