Awful.

Aye, saw it at the time, completely f*cking pointless, not that it changed the course if the game however...

Honestly what the hell does Henderson offer England? He has a donkey first touch, he runs around like a headless chicken and he is essentially a crab as that video demonstrated.

He had a terrible season with the scousers yet gets dropped for a title winning midfielder. Honestly we just seem to be handing out England caps like sweets to bang average players.

Gets picked over a title winning midfielder* I meant.

Henderson is an embarrassment.

Thank god he plays for Liverpool.

Wilshere as well...why is he in this squad exactly? Hasn't had nearly enough games to be fit...even if he wasn't someone who's never actually fit, gets a start and plays embarassingly badly. He will lose the ball then just throw himself on the floor while the rest of the team has to scamper back to cover for HIS error and poor positioning.

He actually played alright today but he's still average on the ball.

Jordan Henderson is purely a Steve Bruce con. He used to hype him up hilariously and then some how pundits started to as well.

He did absolutely nothing but be average while Bruce said he was brilliant. The hype even got him a big money move and sees him playing for England

Henderson was good in the first half, linked very well with Clyne and also helped nullify the threat of Hamsik. Faded in the second half (as did the whole team when Hodgson removed all our creative players) and his set pieces were shiiiit, but also created two clear cut chances - the ball to Vardy was brilliant.

He does have his flaws - he's not brilliant under pressure and still passes backwards too often, but not sure why he's getting so much stick for that performance, it was better than anything Alli and Wilshere have shown so far.

Wilshere should not have been taken. Not match fit at all. Some on here were saying he'll be fresh. This isn't preseason.

Very bizarre how Henderson is getting stick for yesterday.

It's like people have an opinion and are determined to stick to it irrespective of any evidence.

A bit like Brexit.

Roy doesn't take players based on reputation and won't bring an unfit player to the euros.

Or so he said.

Not at all bizarre, he plays for Liverpool. Gerrard would get in the team of the tournament and still the Engurlanders would say he was crap. Despite Clyne being excellent all season and for the two seasons before that, he's also crap. As is Sturridge who won England's only game by actually doing something in attack. Instead England should play the statue Kane, who only moves when the ball is placed on his foot and no matter where he is, he's in shoot mode, thirty yards? Let's have a pop, halfway line? Whack! Those bloody defenders keep getting in the way though.

Lallana too?

He's been our best attacking player at the tournament.

Constantly winning the ball in the opposition half and involved in all our best moves.

He's a poor finisher, no change there, but if he's been poor then the rest of them may as all go home now.

Our best attacking player, by default.

Horrenderson how does he get in the team Steven Hawkins has a better first touch.

Henderson was just awful yesterday. In the first half he has time and space to put in a quality delivery about 6 or 7 times.

Clyne really impressed yesterday.

I felt Vardy shown how he will be useful against sides who have more of the ball, but in these games he'll always be a passenger.

Lallana did quite well again, shame he can't score for toffee. Kind of makes all his good work a waste of time.

Sturridge was quiet.

Wilshere was okay, nothing special.

Bertrand was god awful. Only player worse than Henderson.

I thought Lallana was good again last night, as was Clyne. Henderson was poor.

No creative person in that midfield and no good passer as well.

If only a certain Mr Carrick was there

Why mud we have enough sideways and backwards passing players.

posted on 21/6/16

Typical club bias coming in to play. Most pundits said he was impressive yesterday. He carried the attack from midfield and linked well with England's best player Clyne. He also had the important job of marking Hamsik and basically had him in his back pocket.

Poor -
Henderson
Wilshire
Bertrand
Vardy
Rooney
Sturridge
Kane

Ok-
Hart
Cahill
Smalling
Lallana
Dier
Alli

Good-
Clyne

Nothing to get too much hope up really.
