Precisely - it was traditional Labour voters that voted us out ffs

............

Exactly Robben.

I would say the Labour party are much further away from the people than the Tories are. Most certainly on Europe.

One Labour MP has told me he would be willing to stand against Corbyn "in extremis" if nobody else stands

Surprised he didn't say "We got the 3 points, so I'm pleased for the team" somewhere in there

..............

Your own fault if you do. They promised the electorate a referendum, and kept to their word.

Nigel Farage says Leave won "without a single bullet being fired", except of course a bullet was fired, and a 3 & 5 year old are motherless.

Has Raheem tweeted anything yet? He probably thinks the talk about the poor performance of the Sterling is to do with him.

"Apples and pears are harvested by hand and seasonal workers are required for this. Despite enormous efforts by growers, government departments and Job Centres, it has proved impossible to recruit from the UK any more than a small proportion of the numbers necessary.

In short, the British are not prepared to undertake this type of work. Consequently, almost all seasonal workers are from abroad, and at present, mainly from Eastern Europe.

The UK apples and pears sector requires about 12,000 seasonal workers per annum. Unless they can be recruited from abroad, many growers will be forced to cease production which will damage local businesses, local economies, the national economy and deprive consumers.

It is vital that the UK government takes into consideration the essential requirement for seasonal workers from abroad in order to allow the commercial production of apples and pears in the UK to continue, and that policies are implemented accordingly."

badum tish.

Seriously though it's the same with lettuce cutting in the UK season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There was also a documentary series about the work-shy unemployed a few years ago that proved a lot of unemployed aren't willing to get out of bed to perform these tasks and those that do are so disinterested that they turn out to be useless anyway.

One such episode showed English and Polish (I think, or maybe Romanian) casual workers on an Asparagus farm. They were shown what to do and which Asparagus plants should be cut. The English needed a rest every 2 minutes, were cutting the wrong plants and got stroppy when told they weren't doing the job right. The immigrants did 4 times as much work and made zero mistakes.

Indeed

Polish, Romanians and Bulgarians operate the majority of our UK-grown food industry. They work fackin hard too, often starting at 5/6am and completing 12/14 hour shifts.
